For me whether an appliance has wifi or not does not matter, it is just a marketing tool to try and make people replac their non wifi appliance. If an appliance is reliable and carries out its core function really well then that is way more important than whether it has wifi or not. To actually get up and check how things are going is no hardship. I prefer to keep moving and be mobile to sitting sedentary waiting for an app to alert me !!!!

I need a new oven (black). I love the look of the new Hallman Bold but there aren’t many reviews. I had no idea the Cafe products came in black. I will definitely check that out. Thanks for sharing.

What do you think of Kucht or other pro style 48" ranges? Love the look but not the crazy prices of Wolf

Explain to me why a WiFi connected appliance is a necessity. I don’t need my phone to tell me how my cooking is going. Or if my refrigerator has dropped 1 degree of temperature. I personally don’t see it as a negative if my appliances don’t have WiFi connectivity. Like Fisher & Paykel. Awesome especially WITHOUT the WiFi.

Can you suggest few microwave and oven (even cooking) combo brands or products?

The nearest LG or Samsung repair is more than 8 hours away from us so no one carried them. Most retailers around here carry GE, Whirlpool, etc…your basics.

We are now on our third Bosch dishwasher. When we moved sixteen years ago, we bought another Bosch for our new home. Last year it finally died, and we bought a new Bosch 800 to replace it. Sadly, the quality has gone down with every iteration, and honestly, I don't think the 800 is worth the money. I don't use the WIFI connections. The plastic utensil basket is so cheap you can twist it, and the Crystal Dry system doesn't do a very good job of drying. Even though I do not overload the machine, and am careful not to put anything around the crystal dry area, things on the third rack never dry, mugs and plastics on the second level come out with wet spots, and worst of all, I have to hand-wash my steel-cut oatmeal bowls before placing them in the rack. If I don't, other bowls wind up with tiny dustings of oatmeal, and have to be hand washed anyway. This never happened with our older model. My only consolation is to think that if Bosch is a supposedly quality product, what must less expensive dishwashers be like?

I have zero interest in WiFi-enabled applications and I’m a techie who gets the latest devices. I want my appliances to last for many years.

Parts availability for LG and Samsung? Pre-pandemic no one knew how to service them and parts were difficult to get.

Bosch lacks cooking options because many people chose Thermador and Gaggenau (same company)

You're obviously more interested in the way an appliance looks and whether or not it's WIFI enabled as opposed to it's reliability and price. You say LG and Samsung are 2 of the best appliance brands when most of us who have done our research on appliances know that they are the 2 WORST appliance brands a person can purchase! That explains why it's so difficult to find parts for them. They can't make the parts fast enough to keep up with the demand! Well, no matter what either one of us says nearly all appliances made these days are not going to last beyond a few years. They need to start making them the right way so they last 30 years the way they used to. But that wouldn't be very good for business would it?
