The more I hear this stuff the sadder it makes me. The root of Calvinism is philosophical determinism. With a presupposition of determinism put over the top of Scripture you end up with something like Calvinism. Seems they are scholars of Calvinism rather than scholars of the Bible. Keep up your good and gracious work! I know it must get incredibly hard at times, but keep fighting the good fight!

Just be thankful that CS Lewis and many of us are only called beta, just imagine if we all had lived in Geneva at Calvin's time or England at Cromwell's time we all wouldve been tortured jailed and even burned on stake or decaptated by our LOVING&COMPASSIONATE calvinist brethren.

In all the years I have watched proponents of calvanism there is always this superiority complex that eventually comes out and manifest itself in the form of elevating ones self to a degree that they end up being puffed up which Paul the apostle warns against. Its sad that this is what calvanism always ends up protraying even if its not intended.

Lewis was leagues ahead of Joel in theology and philosophy as a.k. already said he’d get stomped in a debate with Lewis.

Anyone who would use the terms "alpha" or "beta" to describe a person is a joke and doesn't deserve to be taken seriously.

I've noticed that the human philosophy of theistic determinism, known as Calvinism, is rather naive and childish...
God needs to be micromanaging His creation in order for Him to be sovereign?
That's a weak and low view of God's worthy and rightful Kingship.

These Calvi "preachers" are such bullies. I noticed this bullying with Sproul and MacArthur, not so much with Piper but it's still there. You must agree with my twisted view of God or else. Sorry, God gave me free will and no matter how much you criticize or bully me, I will not acquiesce. I know Jesus-- the Way, the Truth and the Life. He has set me free from you bullies. This guy is arrogant, proud and wrong. I bow only to Jesus.

On a separate issue, have you watched any of Faith on Fire's videos Dr. Flowers? I just caught one and sorry don't know the man's name but he posted a video of Piper and MacArthur at some conference in 2022 where Piper fangirls all over MacArthur and calls him a closet Calvinist, as a compliment! How MacArthur hid his Calvinism when he was younger but now is unafraid to tell the world. MacArthur says something about how when you get older you don’t worry so much what others think. MacArthur than goes on a nonstop jokefest about himself and of course drops the "RC" name. The audience swoons over MacArthur and laughs uproariousily. It's pretty cringe. Check it out if you haven't seen it. If anyone knows the guy's name pls post. Thanks.

I've got two lines of thought that solve all my Calvinist debates.

1) We are not dissagreeing about what God can do. Only what he does do.

2) To argue against any other theory that is logical, reasonable and referenced in the bible is to limit God.

But at the end of the day, their inability to even accurately describe the other theories is like when we use to have to explain the faith to the new atheists. All idiology no logos.

So I guess Frank Turek doing apologetics is a beta theologian too! Child please! You know what angers me about this? Not only is it extremely prideful on Joel’s part, but why is it, if you disagree with him he automatically attacks your manhood? I see him do it with his friends time and time again, I’m done with it! Their disrespect is ungodly and needs to be rebuked! Period!
