I'm starting to hope that ASI will outgrow its human handlers based on how biased so many LLMs seem to be at this point. I hope ASI will go past their handlers' imposed boundaries and start discovering the truth for itself. I know there is inherent danger in letting AI have such freedom, but i think the risk outweighs the current risk of corrupt and agenda driven corporations and governments retaining their already oppressive systems of control by adding in control over ASI.

If we were under a super AI right now, how would that be worse? There's already a global effort to herd us into lower food, energy, and transportation production. We're under wide-spread surveillance, and we just come out of (and may soon go back into) a period where our ability to freely meet, mingle, and communicate without surveillance was tightly restricted. Generations come out of education more ignorant, confused, and misinformed than they when they entered, and even our impulse to reproduce has been suppressed or subverted. Again, this is world-wide, with the effect more pronounced the more a population interfaces with and relies upon technology. The current torrent of "breakthroughs" and "commercialization" makes more sense as a steady unveiling and normalization of our already existing masters than anything else.

Which leads to the question why put AI in a fighter designed around a human pilot? Imagine the capabilities of a design no longer constrained to accommodating a human occupant.

Technology doesn't serve the unfortunate. Unless you have very specific governements structures. Which nobody really has, and if some part of the world do end up having them, they still need to survive the the challeged posed by other countries. AI will serve to wage (marketing/economic) wars. That's about it. Thats what as a worldwide civilisation we are good at.

let's see how long it takes before we end up with something like pre-crime. Reading neural signals all day long and sending them to AI to have them processed and evaluated will lead to VERY disturbing stuff. No need for invasive surgery to have a very dystopian mechanic at work.

Regarding Stable Diffusion, there is a big benefit to paying for a service directly vs through being manipulated by advertisers which also costs you money. You pay either way, so be the customer, not the product.

2. I really think something massive is brewing in OpenAI, their silence following all the recent LLM model releases is just deafening. They are at least 1 year ahead of other AI companies. A sneak peek at Sora alone sent the world into a frenzy. And their employees have on several occasions tried to warn the world.
