I'm a creator. We shot a Superbowl Ad for a client, and I thought I would take a shot and do post-production on my new M1 Pro 16" that arrived last week. We run Adobe for editing. We usually turn to the heavy iron, a Mac Pro, configured at a price that is a downpayment on a mansion, and the M1 16 shined. We presented the final product to the client on Friday, and you will see this ad on Superbowl Sunday. This computer is more than a curiosity. They will change industries with this, allowing more people to enter the market to compete. The M1 Macbook Air is probably the best laptop you can buy right now. Don't let it's thin form factor fool you cos the performance from this power house delivers you the power that you need alongside long lasting battery life and a ridiculously thin form factor. It's the best of both worlds, really.

Micro center has the MacBook Air for $799.99, Costco has the M1 13 MBP for $1099, and Best Buy have good financing options up 36 months for 0% interest for all these models including 14 and 16 inch. Great video!

The 13" MBP is essentially now just the "MacBook"
You have the Air with lighter weight and wedge design
Then the "MacBook" has a fan and the touchbar
Then you have the "Pro" machines in 14" and 16"

I would say if you want cheapest Mac and most portability, 13” M1 MacBook Air is best. Skip 13” M1 MacBook Pro and go for 14” M1 Pro MacBook Pro for better performance, screen and connectors. If money is no issue, there is less need for portability, and you want maximum performance, then go for 16” M1 Max MacBook Pro.

I bought the MBP 13' earlier this year and I really like it. I really wanted the 14' MBP but it was not out yet when I bought the MBP 13'. I think I will wait for the upgraded version next time around. Great video!

I picked up a 256gb MacBook air for my gf today for Christmas. She doesn't game or edit or anything like that so I think the storage shouldn't be an issue. Personally I fell in love with the 14" pro today while I was buying her gift. I believe I'll be picking one up for myself in the near future 😌

For someone who wants to use Touch Bar with a nice keyboard, they have no other choice. Good thing is M1 is decent enough that M1 Pro and M1 Max is probably overkill unless there’s dedicated workflow that can benefit from that core config and/or GPU power, plus optimization.

Thanks for this! I need less mobility (music making) so I was looking at Mac Mini. However what the new Macbook Pro M1 Pro gives is great. Keep in mind that in EU the prices are really higher than US so it might be hard to choose the 'spend more' option. What do you think? Is Mac Mini still a bargain ? Compared to iMac stellar price for 512 GB SSD and 16 GB RAM the Macbook Pro M1 PRO comes...at a better price value! At this stage I see the iMac to be not a bargain.

Can you do a 10 minutes hero shot video consisting only of music and epic flyovers over each model from all angles, open and closed, alone and next to each other, on the lap, couch, and table, at day, night, indoors, outdoors, with different apps running… etc… like the ultimate showroom experience? … oh wait, you already gave us this, PLUS a professional voice over with all the info we would ever need! 😎💪💪

Don't get me wrong, I love my new 16" MBP and the keyboard is great but after using computers since the late 70s when I was a child, the 2020 MacBook Air may be my favorite typing experience ever... maybe it's the angle of the case or the slightly different spacing but if you do normal tasks, especially if you write a lot and don't edit video/audio the MacBook Air is THE best Personal Computer in any form factor IMHO.

Thanks for this video! Although I'm an Apple user, it takes me a long time to understand and finally decide which product to buy when it's time to upgrade... I'm planning for my next laptop to replace my 13" Macbook Pro 2015.

For me apple messed me up. Im going to keep my MBP 13". First i find the touchbar usefool and easier to navigate. And the notch in a laptop isnt a good choics. Sure you could put one in a ipad or iphone, but cmon a mac? Really
