as a business student i can definitely say, You should choose macbook over an ipad.
Powerpoint, Excel is very limited compared to any laptop in ipad and you can always write notes on paper right?

Your reasons are very specific to only a few use cases. An engineering student would never prefer an ipad over a macbook. Forgot the experience of full fledge laptop part, but ipad os has a lot of limitations and most of the software used in engineering won't be available on iPad. Furthermore, an integral part of engineers life is Ms office which can be used on iPad but on a yearly subscription package of Microsoft 365. While in the macbook you can just buy a copy of the lifetime ms office.

Yes but tbh when u think about it a lot of school tests need to be taken on a laptop or pc. Which makes a iPad useless for school sometimes.

It’s important to understand that no matter what the iPad size or model, it can NEVER replace a computer. So yes while it’s good for smaller tasks you’d need for a computer. If you’re in college, your probably gonna need both.

I replaced my MacBook with an iPad Pro 12.9 inch M2 1tb and wifi plus cellular. When I want to use it for entertainment or to draw I can carry it anywhere with me easily and when I need to use it as a computer I simply put it on my desk on my tablet stand where I have a keyboard and mouse. I work on it, write emails, draw, watch videos and movies, edit photos and videos and I have it connected to cellular so I can go pretty much anywhere in the world without having to worry about wifi. It’s just so much easier to slap it on my stand at my desk where I have a setup for computer use and simply grab it and go anywhere without a bulky keyboard. Winning!

It all depends on your needs…I recommend getting a MacBook though…especially if you need good processing power.

Ideally an iPad and MacBook along with a desktop (I like Apple studio) is the best set up….especially with apples new side car function and universal control

We can literally attach keyboards to laptops too even though they already have one+ you can use the pen on laptops too + you can keep your notes in one place in laptops too pls

If you like more probability, drawing media, and touch products then get an iPad, if you need to do data sheets and heavy multi tasking, then get a Mac.

I have both and I used to love my iPad (and still do) but noticed I keep going back to my mac because its hard to use the pointer on the iPads for data and multitasking is ruff every gesture is swipe based not click based.
