I solved this on my limited bios predator machine! I bought a USB, formatted it to FAT32 on my separate laptop, downloaded the intel rapid storage technology drivers and other chipset drivers and clicked «load drivers» when I booted the windows installation media. The SSD should now appear!😊

it shows that I have the M.2 ports but there is no option to enable them next to it at all, i've updated my BIOs to the latest version as well and ensured the SSD in the slot is compatible with the motherboard.

Nothing I have tried works. I guess I lost all my data and the $200 drive is garbage. My secondary drive worked normally after replacing my motherboard. After I put my pc to sleep the drive never worked again. Not detected in bios, not detected in windows or in disk management. Not accessible in other m.2 ports, not accessible in an external nvme enclosure. Drive appears not broken physically.

I have a hp pavillion gaming 15 ryzen 5 3550h
I installed a nvme m.2 crucial SSD but it doesn't show on the bios and I can't even see setting regarding m.2 nvme. The only drive the bios shows is the SATA one which is already having a sata hdd.
Hp bios has advanced mode/setting hidden and can't be unlocked.
My bios version is f13 HP

I have an ASUS Z790 P WiFi and once in a while after a reboot or if from a power outage. My M.2 drive isn’t recognized by the motherboard and it won’t boot. After several restarts it finally sees the drive and reboots. I wonder why it does this? If you go into the bios it’s shows my M.2 brand name and size but in the menu where it has the boot drive nothing shows, it’s blank. Must be an ASUS bug. lol 😂

I have a problem with M2 stopped read error, sometimes the m2 is not found in windows at startup and sometimes it is. I installed a new m2 and have the same problem. It may be problem with motherboard or software but i have no clue how to test. my boot disk is running fine, this is a secondary M2.

Currently when i launch a game, my pc crashes and restarts, after the restart, my ssd doesn't even show up in the bios so it won't boot, just stays in the bios.

I was playing a game when i alt tabbed my entire pc froze and turned off, when i tried to turn it back on i was booted into the Bios instead of windows. I have 2 drives but only 1 is listed. Is the drive with windows broken or can i fix this issue?

Updated my bios yesterday and suddenly my second SSD stop showing in files. I went to computer management, disk management and than changed the assigned letter to that drive. Everything went back to normal after that and I didn’t lose any data.

No help at all, Asus bios are dreadful, nothing works and this fellows video makes no difference and i know the m.2 is functional with windows loaded.
It will detect an ssd with Linux loaded no problem but is steadfastly resistent to the nvme drive on both slots.
I hate Asus with a passion.
