How To Use The NEW Animated YouTube Subscribe Button

Discover a new 2024 feature from YouTube, which is limited to 3 times a video. When you explicitly state the word "subscribe" in your video YouTube animates your subscriber button.

When you activate this feature, it should help new channels increase subscribers. Use this new button feature wisely and do not overuse it.

Always give a compelling reason to subscribe.
So say those magic words and turn on the subscription feature for your Youtube channel.

As of today, all of the button are animated and limited to only one use. You can now use words: "subscribe", "like", "thumbs up", "dislike", "thumbs down", "share", "download", "clip", "make a moment", "save", "save to your/the playlist", "add to your/the playlist".

It glows only one time. I think when the YouTuber say it for the first time it glows. Then after that no more.

It seems it only flashes once now - Subscribe and Like. So it's more useful to say it at the end of the video instead.

I only had it flash once, but on other videos I have also seen the "give this video a like" make the like button flash.

Only works once actually, only worked the first time around.
The like button will also glow if you say "smash that like button".

Found this video while searching for anybody that's tried "hacking" the glowing buttons. I wish you could get them to light up more than once, it would be cool to see someone "hack" them to light up in some kind of cool sequence, like morse code or something.

This new feature is really annoying. I'll be watching something and the thumbs up icon keeps floating upwards in a very distracting manner. It makes me want to leave a video, not give it a thumbs up, does anyone know how to not see it?

It only triggers once.
I think, the video has to be over 2 min long, and the trigger word has to be spoken, only after 10~15 seconds into the video.

I dont always make a call to action. Generally if i am trying sonething new, ill refrain from doing so, until ive seen that the pivot works and got a decent reaction.

Looking at my own behaviour, ill hit subscribe automatically when i "connect" with a creator, or when i see a clever pay off to their thumbnail/title hook.

I seem to get similar engagement on my own channel.

yes for this one it flashed once only too. Und no flashing for "LIKE". Although this one does use the "Return Youtube Dislike" extension, so it's possible that interferes with flashing the LIKE button?

EDIT: this one takes it back. This one watched another youtube video and when they said "LIKE", the like button flashed like a rainbow.
