How to use the NEW Microsoft Teams 🆕

In this Microsoft Teams tutorial video, I show the all-new Teams client for 2023. This includes new features in Microsoft Teams like fast tenant switching, channel updates, Settings, user interface and lots more. The new Teams is fast, slimmer and simpler. Globally available now for Desktop and Mac users of Teams, with Web updates coming later in fall 2023. Links are also below on how to get started.

Two changes since the video came out:
1) The UI switching mechanism to the new Teams has moved from the upper left to the "..." menu
2) For Commercial customers, the final date to still use the old Teams is March 31st, then you cannot switch back

As a blind user, I tried navigating teams earlier today after getting my new Windows computer, and am loving it. Way easier in my opinion to get around and everything is placed well and and love the shortcuts. Accessible on all platforms which is great. I use NVDA as my screen reader.

Since you didn't show Team management, will there be options to filter and sort Team membership? Also export Teams members to an CSV or Excel file?

Great Video. Do you know if you use the Add another account feature - does it give your primary Org the ability to see data from the other account?

Can you populate the new Teams with content and duplicate it with the content - channels alone just doesn't cut it. For some situations it is a hassle having to duplicate the content for each cloned/duplicated Teams e.g. in a class situation

Been using it for a while now. Features are now at par with classic but much faster and cleaner. 🎉

Definitely an improvement and tenant switching HUGELY improved (a significant factor for a consultancy). Ref design, if you look at this side-by-side with new Outlook, it already looks dated, missing many of the new office design cues!

In these videos can you mention which version it is? I have Win10 free version 1.6 and it says it's updated today, but it doesn't look new.

Today I opened teams to get a modal of what’s new in teams, however, as my teams is in dark mode but the modal doesn’t adapt to dark it was a colourful banner then black text on very dark grey - so it seems the what’s new in Teams this time was….. an eye test!!

New teams is missing the option to change camera settings. My camera is just a little too far away, so I always zoom in a bit. But I can't do this in the new teams, so I switched back. I hope they fix this sometime.

Whenever organizer create an meeting with auto recording enabled. If someone joins the meeting before the organiser joins the meetinga automatically own by who joins first not organiser.

So why there is meeting organizers feature? 🤔

Been using new teams for a while each day when I open it’s channel roulette as to what channel/chat will be the active one, and still we have activity notifications that show even when you’re in the channel or have read the content you got notification for, would be good if that was tied to the content so you read the reply and the activity knows it has been read so no need to have it there with the dot.
If you quit and relaunch it asks if you want to swap back to classic new teams has an inferiority complex 😂

I tried the new MS Teams today and it crashed 3 times during a meeting. The meeting had to be ended through Teams in the browser. Is everything working well for you? Where is the problem here?
