Imane Khelif, one of the boxers at the centre of a gender row at the Paris Olympics, has guaranteed herself a medal at the Paris games.

It comes as the president of the International Boxing Federation told Sky News that both Khelif and fellow Olympic boxer, Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting had failed to meet gender eligibility criteria at last year's World Championships.

There is an easy solution, do a gender test. Why won't the IOC just do that?

Any man who is bottom of the ladder in mens sport can now just change their gender and be number 1 in the womans sport. Woman who have trained since they were 4/5 years old and sacrificed so much to be the best woman in their field.to have that taken away and having no choice but to compete against a man is wrong.

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif and Taiwan's double world champion Lin Yu-ting were cleared to compete at the Paris Olympics despite having been disqualified during the 2023 World Championships after the IBA said they had failed a gender eligibility test.

People can be who they choose, but women have long experienced persecution at the hands of men, and we are doing it again, but under a new flag called gender identity. To keep things fair and equal, the approach should be simple: provide people who identify differently than they were born, their own sector in sports like men and women do.

Khelif doesn't deserve a medal. He should be ashamed of himself and should not accept a medal. This whole fiasco is despicable!

This signals the end for women in sport. Nothing against Khelif or Lin but there needs to be strict rules with testosterone levels. Khelif is not a straight forward female, so she has an unfair advantage over other women. She should not be allowed to compete. And before people start saying she has a right.. she does not. Same way if a jockey weighs too much they are disqualified

They have excluded Russia, made a mess of the Olympics and cynically disregard people's opinions.
Why is this possible?
