Easy Winter Catfish Bait for Bank Fishing - Catch Live Bait All Year Long

Показать описание
What's the easy to catch winter catfish bait that most people don't talk about? Creek Chub Suckers! These hardy bait fish can be caught just a few feet from the bank in shallow water. They're perfect for the anglers who bank fish all year. So far the lowest temperature that I've seen them in is 37 degs but some of the guys say that they can break the thin ice on the creek and still catch them in the dead of winter. Really good to know for this years bank fishing trips! Tight Lines Everyone!

Catching your own bait is half the fun of catfishing, very cool friend you have thought it was going to take your net lol.

Fishin' cats since the 1980's and yet to throw a cast net. Hmm, might have to chat with Amazon Santa? I do use a small 1 person seine and minnow traps that suit me well. Winter in Ohio is a fine time for minnow traps. I fish and save creek chubs and shiners even after breaking ice to drop a trap. I tend to go with greasy bait. Fresh frozen, you have a solid back-up bait in Spring and plus it's Winter fun. YMMV but a solid bait-building suggestion!

I never find creek chubs that shallow. And they are my favorite bait. They catch Channels, Blues, Flatheads, Walleye, Smallmouth, Northern Pike, Musky and Largemouth and they are FREE

Which Camp are you in? Are you in the "no I shouldn't throw there it might get hung up. Let's keep looking" group or are you (like me) in the "look I don't have time to be lookin for bait all day. Gotta take chances" group.
