best catfish bait ever, though you need smaller hooks, is fresh, unwashed, uncooked shrimp. Very light sliding weight or no weight at all, cast it out somewhere there is a little current that dumps into calmer water.. true story

I’ve always used chicken liver, chicken gizzards, and raw uncooked, unpeeled shrimp. I gotta try the Jello 😎

Blue gill cut bait works the best. At least for me fishing the Trinity river for Gar and Cat

When I go fishing for catfish I use the team catfish circle hooks 9/0 and if I use chicken hearts ill put 4 on the hook but I normally use big baits and I still catch them 3 pounders but I'm after them 40 ibers

What's rhe trick to getting the hotdog to stay on the hook when you cast it out? I used treble hooks last time and the hotdogs still flew off my size 4 treble hook.

U can also add some vanilla extract and let it marinate, it makes it so much more effective
