United's problem is that they aren't trying to do anything in particular when they get forward. Goal scoring chances don't come to you, you need to be intentional about creating openings, overloads, isolation, and space and it's clear when United move it around in the final third that nothing is in the mind. This is a coaching problem - the players are not going to democratically come to a consensus on how to advance, someone needs to coach them.

United need to play 4-3-3 which Ten hag never going to do. And he'll be out for sure. Arteta played 4-2-3-1 when he became Arsenal manager and changed to 4-3-3 quickly when he realized that is not gonna work to win for the long run
