I live in the Carolina's on a river, I've been flooded out more the 17 tines in the past 25 years.. I'm retired on a fixed income... I contacted FEMA and HUD for help over the past few eeks asking for assistance they so far have totally ignored me.. not a call not an email nothing.. These massive storms are getting worse we all know this.. yet our system seems totally run by people that simply do not care about the people they are paid to protect! They receive billions in funds to look after us while they ignore us and abuse their privileges... mismanage the funds and find ways to avoid doing the real work the jobs they are paid to do!

For many years we've been told about weather extremes as a result of global warming. We ignored the warnings.

I feel sorry for the flatlanders.
We got a whopping inch and 3/4 in Western NC.
And we needed it.
