Recipe

1. Rinse, cut, chop, kiss, slice, slap, smack do whatever you need to do to prepare all your selected ingredients. (I used: carrots, napa cabbage, king oyster, rehydrated shiitake cos i didnt have fresh ones, enoki, tofu, hotpot beef, udon, shirataki, scallions
2. Mix 1 cup sake, 1 cup mirin, 1 cup soy and 1/4cup sugar over high heat until alcohol is cooked off and sugar is dissolved. (In hindsight i think reduce measurements by half and use a shallow pot as i mentioned)
3. Grill the beef with some oil and add a small amount if sauce to caramellise
4. Then pour the sauce and add all ur infredients - i did it but by bit in case i didnt need to use all of the liquid but terrible choice in pot so i ended up having to to properly submerge and simmer the food without squishing it all in.
5. Once cooked its time to eat! Sukiyaki is often enjoyed with a beaten egg as sauce which i did not cos i was in a rush to finish filming so i could wash the dishes and get ready to sleep for work 🤡
