I wish I saw this review before buying my tank because I wouldn’t have bought it realizing how difficult it was to clean it. I’m currently searching for just a regular tank lid because I’ve had so many issues with the cube but can’t bring myself to buy a whole other tank again.

I have Guppies and Mollys. My tank is also from pet smart. I used white sand. Which proves to be a pain for siphoning. But I just use a little net to fan the bottom helping the derby and old food to go to the top and collecting them accordingly.

My Mollys had two babies. They seem to be comfortable. I have a little hearted invade one of my fish are pregnant they can hang out near the water warmer (78degrees) .


So far it’s been been something of a beautiful hobby. I’m not giving up on it everything you pointed out I have the same problems. Learned 1 fish per gallon. Couldn’t help myself. But they all see happy.

Last night as I was trying to do a water clean it dropped the second floor part in the tank and it cracked… I might have a friend make something out plexiglass to cover the opening to keep dust from flooding.

I hid the tube I used to siphon the air outta of the 2nd floor and hid it in my filter. By doing this it pinches the tube keep air from leaking back in…. Yeah I don’t know what they were thinking. I’m sure their next design will be better.

Ugh gotta but another second floor. I’m going to look online.

I just bought this tank and I’m about to return it. Idk what I’m doing wrong but the filter is not pumping water so water is not flowing 😢

I know this video is not new, just wanted to say that I own one & when doing water change always use the syphon that came with it to remove water from the tower & then remove tower & plastic top. Then you're able to clean gravel with no obstacles & it's very quick to empty & refill the tower. My only con about the tank is that I don't want to cover or block the side views but the cube style is seems to create a mirrored effect for the fish 😞 Other than that it has been a great & beautiful tank, really cool for a glo-betta! Also FYI; use a small sponge filter, works better than the filter that comes with it & all you need is air pump & never have to replace/ buy cartridges again!

That was quite a thorough review brother. I’m thinking this is likely a better DIY project than a worthy investment. Especially considering the price factor. Could probably get a better filtration flow going that route.

great review! What helps me with my filter issues like you shared is I have my top part one more side to the right if that makes sense. There’s a tiny indention where the siphon tube can go through behind the filter pad thing and it helps keep the filter down and allows it to fill! I’m no pro at all, but I hope this helps!

Don't fill that cube if u have a betta 😅 I put 1 water lettuce in the cube and he builds his bubble nest up there all the time lol ... the filter that black little pc is for the flow rate life up or down to adjust ... just water changes I had an issue with but I also put a small airstone in mine, few amano and some snails since the light was so strong ... 💪 it's a pretty tank looks much nicer then my other tanks

Nice review of a tank that looks good on paper, but is not that great in real life.

To siphon water out of the tank, they make one that has a squeeze bulb that makes the water go up & out. I have one I use on my 10 gallon tank. :D

Pretty much every problem you have with the tank is caused by that super gimmicky upper tank. Easy solution is to ditch that upper tank. Also, if you filled that filter with sponge instead of using the cartridge that comes with it, it should resolve the problem with it not filling with water.
