I still remember to this day being afraid to walk into my elementary school knowing I would probably be the only muslim student and so I can relate to wanting to fit in and be like your non muslim friends at the time. Even as an adult it's not easy finding a group of Muslim sisters to befriend in the late 20s to 30s age range.
