The same thing happened to me. I was 19 and asked to babysit my future puppy. I was so ran through with stress. All the pee/poo accidents, biting shoes, hats, cable wire, furniture and slipping out the leash (first time owner). I asked the person to take her back. Then on my birthday they said “do you still want me to take her back?” I was like “NO!”. When we first met, she walked right into me. It was love at first sight (I think) for the both of us. 😂❤

My brother's dog Shorty did this same thing 😢 we adopted him from the pound while my brother was gone for the weekend to surprise him. Shorty came in, sniffed around and laid by the door. He stayed there all night and until my brother came home the next day! They immediately knew they were each other's and were truly inseparable until Shorty passed at the old age of 17 ❤ we had 14 great years with him and he was even around for my kids. He was a really good boy

Honestly, as a dog owner who has had my pup since a few months old. Don’t gift someone a new puppy.😂infact it might be the worst gift. Its like dropping a new born in their life and walking away. It is a big commitment!
