Dude, dogs are incredible. They know when a human is pregnant and they'll sit beside the pregnant person to "protect" them. It's a beautiful thing. Dogs are human kind's greatest companions and friends, forever loyal to us.

I remember when our Teddy came to the funeral of my brother. We had an Irish wake in the house for multiple days (the house was small and our dog was big so he was staying at a family friend's house) During the funeral the family friend brought Teddy. He was silent even with the big crowd of people as we said our prayers then he walked up to the grave and sniffed the earth and began to cry. We never heard him cry like it before. It was truly heart breaking.

Our cat crossed the rainbow bridge last October. I'm crying every day about her. These days, I am in my bed with flu and fever.

I often walk my dog at the cemetery he likes to visit new graves and lay by them for a bit. He always brings me to my friends grave who passed at 19, a dogs mind can truly be so amazing.

I love my pets so much that I asked my family when I die, to bring my dogs to my wake, so they know I didn’t abandon them. And I have arrangements where my pets will stay together with family.

It’s not “somehow” it’s the lady has been to her moms grave numerous times and the owners scent is there. Sometimes we try to act like it’s mysterious etc but often there’s a simple answer that isn’t as incredible as it seems
