Great review. You are the first reviewer I've seen to mention the UHS II port, which is important to many photographers. Also, thanks for giving some detail about the T2 chip. Finally, thank you for not going on and on about the appearance "being dated" as I hear over and over. As you say, it's what's inside that counts. Besides, I like the way it looks. Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

I just can't overlook the huge bezels - the iMac used to be my favourite machine, but it just looks so dated (if still refined) now.

The design needs a refresh, I feel straight back in the 1800's, those bezels are just horrendous.

This year is the last chance to collect an Intel based iMac. The all new ARM based iMac will come out next year. And apps are going to be made for ARM based machines only eventually.

This iMac is amazing. Seeing it in the store is just mind blowing. The display is big and beautiful but I’m so much more excited for what Apple silicon can bring

I love the specs, the Non-Glare, the T2 Chip (SSD's only - so glad), you can still upgrade the ram yourself, the 10-Core 10th Generation Processor, the 5700XT with 16 GB of GDDR6 ram, will really be exporting video fast with these specs and it can take up to 128 GB Ram. Apple may have kept the same design, but really specked up this last Intel I-Mac.

The thing that kills the whole thing in 2020 is the super chunky bezels....otherwise its awesome for creators

I paid $2689 cad for 2020 iMac 27" 8 core 8GB ram, 1TB ssd, 5700xt, (refurbished from Apple) upgraded ram aftermarket to 32gb for $150. Originally ordered M1 Max 32 core and studio display and cancelled order and got the iMac instead and saved $2500cad.

I had one, but returnd it and bought a 16 inch macbook, for the money the portability wins it, and you can connect easy a big schreem on it

To be honest, Even the bezel is so wide but the overall design is still so sleek and beautiful.

Waiting for mine to come through. Didn't bother with the i9 (can't see it being of much value over the i7 as thermals not updated to Pro - biggest disappointment for me) but specced out the graphics card. Business wise I actually need the security of Intel legacy chips until they get Apple Silicon rock solid. It's expensive but my income relies on this. Screen is good enough and bezels are just aesthetic.

What do you do when it becomes outdated? You will have to spend another hefty amount to buy something similar. So is there a way to gain some money back from the outdated device?
