The way they name these hurricanes, you'd think they are some gentle breeze you enjoy on a windy day in the park.

I watch the storm radar channel everyday. In the last several years 2-3 baby hurricanes formed near Africa and moved north in the Atlantic Ocean one veered west toward the US and the other two went straight up north and got caught in the North Atlantic wind patterns and moved toward Europe. None grew in size. All stayed small but held on to their energy systems. To grow to be a huge storm or energy system you have to be in the right place at the right time. The air and sea temperatures have to be just right. Warm air rises.

Andrew, Katrina were monsters that I hope the world never encounters ever again.. . Milton brought devastating tornado formation which I never heard of as a kid in Florida. I concur Milton was not a normal system.

I just went through Milton here in Florida. It was rough. We flooded and houses ripped up and ect.. 😢

The last time four hurricanes hit Florida in the same season was in 2004.

Edit: Y’all suck at research that can literally be found in the push of a button. It’s not an opinion. It’s not hearsay. Do better.

When Milton made landfall in Florida it was at 950mb. There have been 27 storms of 950 or lower in Florida, and 17 of those were prior to 1960. The most powerful storm was the Labor Day storm in the 1930s, which registered 892 mb. The deadliest was in 1928, killed 4000, about 96 years ago, when FL was les populated.

Live in four corners polk, and the tail winds were insane. But the tornadoes it brought with it did a ton of damage. Luckily, my community did better than most.

I live in Lakeland Florida which is just east of Tampa, we got a direct hit from Milton fortunately no damage to our house but it was the strongest hurricane I've experienced in Florida and 14 years

I experienced hurricane Milton, and it was so weird. It was 11:00 PM, and it was during the hurricane, we were getting small winds, but there was a black out. So I go to check out outside, and I go out there, and it was all dark, no lights, but then it was brighter than it would be at night. The sky above us was a dim orange color, it was like the Sun was coming up, but it was behind the entire planet, so it wasn't the Sun.

It was always bright in one location which was to the east, but again, the Sun wasn't up, and there was no lights. For some reason the east was glowing, don't know why, but it was. And then after that, we got stronger winds, and there was blue lights in the sky, which was probably generators or power lines.

We seen a chain of them moving from west to east, one of my family memebers thought it was a tornado, I would say no, because they would have warned us on the alert, right? They warned us of the hurricane, but not when there was rotation in our county? What was that about?

Very strange, especially since hurricane Milton reached a category 5 of like, 180 MPH winds. Which would technically be considered a category 6 or 7 if there was... so that is very concerning. Especially since it went from a cat. 5 to a cat. 2 in a few hours before hitting Florida.

Wasn’t Michael in 2018 cat 5? That was in the second week of October

Don’t forget Beryl! Which was very early in the season and very strong too!

does any one else feel concerned about the intensity of these getting greater?

Oh and btw. It’s very rare for hurricanes to form in the Gulf of Mexico too. We just had back to back hurricanes form within two weeks of each other.

Does the solar cycle peaking have anything to do with the heating of the waters, go help cause the severity of the storms ??

MarionGrisdale

Does this have anything to do with the solar maximum?

If gravity weakened, who would it affect first, tall people or short people?

Every atmospheric layer was hyper turbulent wind this summer if anyone noticed
I was thinking shark fins or engineering
Honestly thinking theoretically can humans spin the earth faster? Or propel the orbit? 😐😶

And what years were the other strongest storms?

Ive been seeing lots of x class sun flares before the hurricanes started to form idk if those have anything to do with them.
