Can You Sleep in a VW Multivan?

Today we're looking at whether you can sleep in a VW Multivan!

With the next generation of VW California fast approaching, and it is based on the Long VW Multivan variation, we thought it would be fun to see if you can sleep in one. Naturally, the next California model will have a pop up roof for sleeping, and it will have swivelling Captain chairs, but you can get a good feel for the size of the vehicle in this video.

We have the last of the T6.1 Multivan in LWB. The bed kit is perfect, utilises the rear bench seat with rear multi board, and has bags of room. The full width of the bed puts a California to shame.
Unfortunately, the new T7 Lwb is no comparison. It's just an Mpv now.

Amazing. I had van that was 176 in long that slept two very comfortably. I am 6'2''. I had about 2'' to spare when fully stretched out. This VW is something like 198'' or more and cannot accommodate one person. Hello MAZDA? It's time to bring back the 1989 - 1995 MPV, only the time, stretch the wheelbase by 10''. The MPV would now be 186'' long with a wheelbase of 120''. Update it with MAZDA'S own 186bhp 2.5 litre motor and six speed automatic transmission. It could solve the homeless situation.
