A tip from my side. If you reach level 10, go to Cyrodill (the PVP zone). Just do the basic tutorial there to unlock your "Alliance War" Skill tree. Go to "Assault" and choose the "Rapid Maneuver" skill. It gives your horse a 30% speed boost for 30 seconds. Really helps a lot to cover ground if you are new / low level.

For new players.
A few seconds after dodging, the feet glowing means next dodge will cost more stamina.

Oh quality of life tip for new players. Level up your first character by questing. Grinding that first character by mindless doleman zerging or running endless loops of zombie pulls is just not fun and you won’t learn very much about the game itself. Experience the stories, listen to the dialogue. Some of it is very good!

Another beginer tip I wish I had known at the begining is to ignore most of the builds that you will see of your class online unless it specificlly says solo. The 'meta' builds are specifically designed to maximise damage and usually lack healing and shields as they are designed to be played in group content with a healer and tank. Your first character should have a little of everything and ideally they will probably do all the crafting skill lines and end up your crafter. You can have fun doing story quests right up to cp 160 and then you can make new toons specced specifically for damage, healing or tanking for doing dungeons with!

Just started this game last night, loving it so far.

That tip about heavy attacks restoring resources was worth the watch alone. Game changer!

About the beginner zone thing. You'll start in the new expansion zone, but ESO tries to fix this by giving you a quest pretty early on about a benefactor. Take this quest and complete it and it will set you on the Molag Bal quest (where you go to the prison) and then it will eventually drop you off in the same starter zones you mentioned (based on your faction). I'd suggest doing this because it starts you on the main faction quest as well as getting you your first skyshard. At least in this way, the developers are trying to fix the overwhelming zone you get dropped in at the beginning.

I gotta say, the thing about the world bosses resonated with me. As a fledgling necromancer, I was in Elswyre running around and exploring. I heard a battle against a dragon, so of course, I had to join. I got one shot in, and the dragon punted me into Oblivian. Good times...

You forgot
#13: Always wear at least 1 of each type of armor, Light/ Medium/ Heavy, while you level up, the earlier the better.
Each of these armors have their own skill line and they level up by simply wearing them. Once you've leveled them all up, you can then mix the armor you wear to suit which armor passives you'd like to use.
A popular one is getting a % boost to your resources, Health/ Magic/ Stamina, depending on how many types of armor you wear. So if you wear at least 1 of each, you'll get the maximum benefit.

Great list! I've been playing ESO for years now, but even I learned stuff here! Other tips I would add:
1 - Join the Mages Guild and the Fighters Guild as soon as you can, and put a skill point each into Intimidating Presence (Fighters Guild Skill Line) and Persuasive Will (Mages Guild Skill Line.) Both of these can save you soooo much effort on many quests in the game, as you can just hit the (Persuade) or (Intimidate) dialog option to skip whole stages of a quest.
2- Crafting is awesome! Not only does it enable you to create your own gear sets (there are specialist crafting tables all over the worlds, and some offer better bonuses than the dropped world sets, ) but if you've learned all the crafts, it's a quick and easy way to make gold from the Daily Crafting Writs, and get some nice stuff like crafting equipment, items, motifs, recipes and all sorts. The amount of gold you can earn from completing all seven crafting writs each day goes up as your level does as well; once you hit Champion Level, you can make 600+gold from just one crafting writ. So, at that level, doing all seven writs, that's an easy 4, 500gold for about 5-10 minutes work.
3 - As long as you can keep your Health stat above 20, 000 points, you'll be fine for most of the time, no matter what character class you're playing. This means you can freely stack up in Stamina and Magicka instead; no need to pour a ton of attribute points into Health, even if you're a tank. Just put in enough to keep you around 20, 000, and then stick the rest in the other two, which you WILL need more.
4 - You can always use crafted food to boost your stats up too; the purple recipes are the best, since they buff ALL attributes for 2 hours. Learning Provisioning to a high level is worth it simply for that - and, fortunately, Provisioning is also one of the fastest and easiest crafts to level up. Or of course you can just buy purple-level food from Guild Stores.

Under Speed: As soon as you turn lvl 10 go to Cyrodiil and it is just to do a quick tutorial (training) which opens up the Assult & Support skill line. You get the Speed ability, several skill points and alliance points upon completion of the very quick and easy quest (without having to do any pvp whatsoever).

Setting up the camera angles and repositioning the screen offset is actually really useful to ensure that it 'just works' for you - I also see a lot of 'How to' do certain Bosses, Dungeons runs and Trial runs vids and try to learn stuff from them, but nowhere have I seen anyone explain exactly how to adjust the detail on screen, the first time I was persuaded to join a Trial to screen became so messy that it was very hard to see what people were talking about (ie positioning to avoid a specific mechanic for example). Making it clearer would be much easier to see what it happening in the same way you see a clear vid explaining the mechanics by an expert player. As a brand new player this info is not known or made known easily either.

Love the info vids, as much as they may be basic for most, for a beginner they are invaluable!! Keep up this great work. Thanks.

YES! Thank You! I've been playing for a week and watched at least a dozen beginner tutorials that all talk about mount training and daily quests, AND NOTHING ELSE! Even the ones that mention other stuff don't actually tell you how to do it. This video is SOOO helpful! Thank You!

Dude this is the best video I have ever seen for the beginners. I have been playing this game for 1 year, but I did not know only basic attacks grant ultimate regen. Nice video man, and you used my tip there too from that youtube thread of yours. The spell damage and Magicka thing.

Learning ALL of this on my own by feeling it out was such a pain in the ass. Thank you for putting this up, I hope it helps everybody who was as clueless as I was.

Another great tip is to take your time and go through all of the settings. Changing the color of the AOE effects on the ground can really help out. I changed my damaging effects to purple and it really shows up well especially in dungeons where the floor may already be dark and red.
