2. 2:49 - LOG ONTO GENSHIN IMPACT DAILY
3. 4:56 - DOWNLOAD GENSHIN IMPACT ON YOUR PHONE
4. 6:20 - DON'T WASTE YOUR PRIMOGEMS - PRIMARILY USE THEM FOR WISHING ON BANNERS

6. 10:30 - RESIN
7. 13:20 - DON'T RUSH YOUR ADVENTURE RANK
8. 14:32 - DON'T NEGLECT YOUR TEAPOT (AR28)
9. 16:10 - GATHER ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING YOU COME ACROSS
10. 17:30 - USE AN INTERACTIVE MAP - MARK YOUR OCULI

When starting your journey, it's good to keep these 10 tips in mind so that later on in the game you can have a stress-free experience.
On the other hand, every player is unique and you're free to go about playing the game as you wish. Happy playing!

(Not so) Short description of each:

0:40 - DON'T WASTE ALL OF YOUR UPGRADING MATERIALS, FOCUS ON ONE CHARACTER INSTEAD
In the beginning of your journey, you receive 5-6 characters and a lot of upgrading material. Later on, this material becomes more scarce, and you might have trouble upgrading your characters.
Instead, pick one main character that you will focus on, upgrade them to the cap, and only then focus on the rest of your team. If you can't pick one, the Traveler is a good choice, as they are a 7-in-1, AKA they can switch between all the elements.

2:49 - LOG ONTO GENSHIN IMPACT DAILY
Always do your Daily Commissions, Expeditions and such, along with HoYoLab check-in to maximize your resources
The game doesn't allow farming everything in one night - it's way more spread out. Therefore, you should farm regularly, so that you always have a steady income of resources.

4:56 - DOWNLOAD GENSHIN IMPACT ON YOUR PHONE
Sometimes, you don't get the chance to log onto Genshin on your PC/XBOX for various reasons. That's why, if your phone can handle it, downloading Genshin should help you make sure you do your dailies or claim the Blessings of the Welkin Moon if you bought it.

6:20 - DON'T WASTE YOUR PRIMOGEMS - PRIMARILY USE THEM FOR WISHING ON BANNERS
1. Don't use Primogems to pull on the Standard Banner
2. Don't pull on weapon banners unless you have 2 fully worked out teams (you're gradually leveling them up, but it's a solid team you won't have to change)
3. There is no need to collect every character in the game (until you have your 2 teams worked out), instead pull only for characters you think will fit your playstyle (you can try playing with them when they're featured on a banner) or characters you need to support your current ones.
4. Do not spend Primogems on replenishing your Resin

9:09 - UTILIZE THE STARDUST/STARGLITTER EXCHANGE
1. Don't spend Starglitter on anything except Characters (Fischl, Xiangling, Bennet, Xinqiu) (<-- please correct any spelling)
2. Buy Fates with Stardust whenever you have enough to do so

10:30 - RESIN
Resin is material used by the game to limit the amount of farming you can do per day. There is currently a cap of 200 (video is older, so says 160) resin. It replenishes on its' own, so you don't have to worry about it. Don't replenish it with Primogems, and save your Fragile Resin until you're AR45-50. Once you enter Liyue, raise your Reputation to Lvl. 3 and begin creating Condensed Resin.

13:20 - DON'T RUSH YOUR ADVENTURE RANK
Once you reach AR (Adventure Rank) 25, 35, 45 and 50, the Adventurers' Guild will require you to complete a certain Ascension Quest before reaching the next cap (the next Ascension Quest). Don't rush through these, and only complete the quests once you feel strong enough to conquer mostly everything in your world at the time you decide to upgrade. This way, you won't have to worry about monsters reaching too high levels.

14:32 - DON'T NEGLECT YOUR TEAPOT (AR28)
A Teapot is a form of housing system in Genshin. In there, you passively receive Realm Currency (similar to Resin, you don't have to be online), and with that RC, you can buy upgrading materials after reaching a certain point.

16:10 - GATHER ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING
Whatever you come across on your journey that you can pick up (like Sweet Flowers, Sunsettias, Mushrooms), pick it up! It was placed into the game with a purpose, and you never know when you might need it. Make sure to hit trees every now and then - you receive wood and Archive Entries that can give you more insight about it when you'll need it most.

17:30 - USE AN INTERACTIVE MAP - MARK YOUR OCULI
Oculi are little balls of elemental energy that you can offer to the Statues of the Seven and receive their blessings (Increased Stamina, AR + Friendship EXP, etc.). There is a pre-determined number of them on the map, and they don't respawn. That's why getting a Genshin map and marking them off is a great way to make sure you have all of them. The map is also very useful in finding anything you need, and there are many other players that contribute to it, adding pictures and explaining how to reach things, win against bosses, etc.

Best advise ever: Play with a friend who knows about this game and can tell you all of this in person because playing alone will be catastrophic

When you said "and that's my first video" at the end i was so surprised. You seemed so confident it almost sounded like you're a professional YouTuber with more than 400k subs. Damn

Oof.. This is probably not a beginner-guide I would recommend to someone who is starting to play Genshin.
A couple of things that are outright "wrong" or not recommended, like "Install Genshin on your phone".
Sure, if you have the option to do so and actually play on your phone on a regular basis, why not. It's definitely not a must. Not even really recommended because that game takes a lot of space away and if you got a PC you can do your dailies quickly within 10 minutes (which does require fighting, too, despite what OP said). So, if you can't install Genshin on your phone, don't worry about it, it's not even close to a recommendation or requirement at all. Unless you got so much going on in your life that you barely touch your desktop PC; in which case Genshin might not be the best game to pick anyways.
Secondly, 5*-characters.
Simple rule. If you like them, for whatever reason, get them. I know, there are dozens of content-creators out there that let you know that unit XYZ is not worth it for various reasons, but it ultimately doesn't matter. It really doesn't. You can beat the game with the units you get at the very beginning, and you can easily nourish any other unit into a carry one way or another. Don't pull a character because someone claims it's "OP"; it's pointless if you don't like the characters design or how they play. The opposite is also true. There is not a single unit in Genshin where a 2nd "support"-unit is required to make your favorite 5* character work. That's outright a lie. Wanderer can get through content just fine, Faruzan doesn't make him "viable", she only does what she is supposed to do; powering up other units. You play this game to have fun and while min/maxing might be fun to some it's definitely far from being necessary. so just go for any unit you think is interesting.
You only have to be reasonable with your choices; if you decide to go for a character you should be aware that maybe you won't be able to pull for the next new incoming banner because you might have to save up Primogems again. Though, that goes without saying.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I rushed my adventure rank all the way to 50+ in 1 month and had no regrets, yes fights are a bit harder but the rewards are phenomenally better. Use noelle if you need a shield, she's free, and always remember... quick dash gives you invincibility for a split second, use it like a dodge mechanism

Here are my 10 tips for basically any Genshin player out there.

#1 Do single pulls if you're f2p and if you're going to put money into it, keep tabs on your expenses.
#2 Don't use weapon billets straight away.
#3 Kaeya is your main dps for a while if you're f2p.
#4 NEVER USE FRAGILE RESIN UNTIL YOU'RE IN THE END GAME!
#5 Go around the map and unlock Statues of the seven as much as you can before doing quests and explorations.
#6 Remember your daily commissions and daily check-ins.
#7 PARAMETRIC TRANSFORMER!
#8 Don't ascend to world level 4 before your characters and weapons are level 70 max.
#9 Try to subscribe to one or two Genshin news related channels so you can keep tabs on future banners and free primo codes.
#10 Don't forget to have fun. Try not to turn the game into a chore that you'll start hating someday. Take breaks every once in a while.

As someone who hasn't even downloaded the game yet, this all feels like so much information to process. Feels more like a beginner/intermediate guide than it does a "things I wish I knew BEFORE" video

I totally understand that your tips are so useful but my tip is : play the game as you like to play it because gamers have different mentalities and ways to enjoy the game plus we have different luck rates on banners and different gaming skills and different time spent per day to progress and different favorite characters ..

Don't upgrade your characters untill ur main is lvl 40 is an awful choice. Because you will get tired of the character and drop the game, plus you won't be able to defeat some enemies. And also, the early game is the most fun, so you don't have to lock yourself because someone just told you to do so!
