*1.* Check the Scoreboard often (Enemy Picks, Ult Charge, Whos respawning)
*2.* Watch the Kill Feed
*3.* Watch Teammates Health on all roles (so u know when to push)
*4.* Full Screen the Game to reduce input lag
*5.* Crouching will make your Footsteps quiet 6. Always move while shooting
*7.* Dont spam Jump while Fighting
*8.* Start with one role, not all at once
*9.* Be Creative, Invent your own Plays
*10.* Choose a good sensitivity (DPI times Ingame Sens = eDPI) eDPI between 1200 and 6000 is good, for genji a bit more is better btw
*11.* Keep track of Ultimates
*12.* Dont tilt queue so if ur tilted take a break

Tbh a dude told me a few days ago to just get good and dear god has that truly helped me. Been doing much better since then and plan on using this advice to climb higher.

As a beginner I was so confused by this video. You mentioned all these names without describing how they apply. What does tilting mean? This is only one of many many questions I had throughout the video.

The third tip is soooo important and I'm glad you included it. Situational awareness is always overlooked since many tend to focus too much on perfecting mechanical aim.

Tangent about #8: as someone who prioritized flexing since launch, the one good thing that (eventually) came from playing so many heroes is learning their strengths and weaknesses. I dont even go for counter picks really, I mostly win fights by just knowing what screws over certain characters the most.

The vid was so good I watched the entirety within 21 seconds of release

Valorant was my first FPS and it was difficult to get used to because you shouldn’t really move while shooting which is the opposite for overwatch. I’m glad I switched to overwatch though because it’s so much more fun and games are a lot shorter. My aim is ass rn but hopefully it gets better

Honestly as a new player it’s tough because you walk out of spawn, or are pushing a point and get insta dropped

im a new player, started playing on christmas, and i find that most players are really rude. i played as lucio the whole time until i got kiriko, and i decided to go for sojourn instead of junker queen because she is better. only problem is, im not used to playing as a dps, and i'm trying to practice in rounds but my teammates yelling at me the whole time in tc is discouraging me. i'm genuinely trying to get better but idk which hero to start with. someone please help me-

The DPI tip alone is huge. I've always thought that the sensitivity on OW felt huge even though it was only set to 15%, but then with my mouse set to a DPI of 3000, it was no wonder I couldn't hit a damn thing. Thanks!

The Fullscreen tip is SO important. Just did that before I saw the video and felt a BIG improvement playing. Now this video explains why and I 100% think that is the biggest offender for most ppl.

Can you make a video about the mindset of each role? Like what should be prioritized first if i play sup, should i stay at far behind or stick with the tanker. TQ

For my console sensitivity I find it better to have my vertical sensitivity about 10% lower than my horizontal. This makes it a little easier to keep my reticle controlled at head level. This helps me with soldier when I need to control his rifles kick. Also when I play zen or kiriko it helps me move side to side quicker with a little less vertical movement so I can hold my reticle at head level and aim more horizontally as they strafe side to side.

Same as a complete beginner I am lost too. How am I supposed to know all these terms lol. I can look them up but rather have it explained. There’s so much to consider too. Like keeping track of ultimates of your opponents. It’s not like a fighting game where I just need to focus on one character but now I have a whole team to keep track of. Definitely takes a different kind of skill or having good memory. It’s so hard to keep track of the kill feed too when so much is happening on screen.

I use real world measurement to help keep consistency between games for mouse sensitivity. Going one side to the other of my mousepad always lend me a full rotation and a half horizontally while aiming

I'm not interested in getting into competitive, but I do wanna at least be somewhat decent at this game since I'm gonna be playing it with friends. Thanks for the tips!

The worst part for me right now is not knowing the maps and the worst of that is accidentally jumping over a ledge 😥 its so embarrassing
