I am pretty new to poker and I joined a 1/2 table a few days ago. I am a student so it is actually pretty significant stakes for me. I ended up with pocket 4s out of position and I raised pre flop and got 1 caller. Flop is 7 4 T so I keep the pressure and bet a little under pot size. He calls. Turn is a 3 and I am feeling pretty confident and raise again, about pot size again I think. I am pretty short stacked compared to the other player so he decides to put me all in. I think for a little bit and I make the call. He shows T 3o and I am feeling pretty nice. He only has two outs and wouldn’t you know it…he hits the ten. My first real bad beat in live poker and it hurts… I appreciate the final tip you made because I felt like such a loser after that hand and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It helps hearing that it is a part of the game and hands like that will happen. Just a shame that I got such a cooler in one of my first live games

This is by far the best beginners video ive seen out there. Not only assumes we have some pre-existing knowledge of the game, but also explains terms meanings in case we dont know. Each tip feels important and the more technical things arent overexplained. Great vid!

I have a question, at point 10 you said no limping into the blind because it announces weakness, but could this not be a good thing? For example maybe you limp with the intention to make yourself appear weak, this way some other guy may feel a lot more confident and he raises by a ton. Or is this just too risky?

Great Video! Camera, lighting and mic set up is looking way better, general variety of graphics was refreshing and overall clear reminders of some basic things I should always be doing at the tables was excellent. 🐐

tips like these have helped me and I've only been playing poker for 1 week and I can see the improvement. earlier today I was playing poker in vr just because I was testing my skills and some dude was trash talking me because I folded majority of my hands, I then proceeded to take 8k from him and he left the table.

Great video. I’ve been following your content for a long time. Your information has always been great. But your presentation has improved a lot. Good luck. Keep doing this thing.

I have a question regarding playing with beginners. If my hand is weak (e.g. 8, 3 offsuit) and everyone has only paid the minimum preflop (e.g. big blind), should I just limp in as well to see the flop?

For me it really depends on the straight I’d more than like fold in that case if it’s gut shot straight but I tend to call open end straights

For tip#10, always raise, do you raise pre flop with that kind of hand (ace and king) 3x? Without even seeing the 3 community cards?
