Why people dont suspect Micah to be the rat is beyond me.

Micah - *antagonizes everyone, has been racist to Javier many times before.*

John & Arthur - *one of the oldest member of gang, the only thing they knew was loyalty to Dutch and the gang.*

Javier's confusion and lack of shooting towards john and arthur at the end makes the confrontation in RDR1 even more impactful.

I like how Javier says that it "makes no sense" to him that Marston is a rat. During all the game you can see that he is really close to Arthur and John, even in the last confrontation. He sure thinks they are not so loyal anymore, but in no ways he thinks they are traitors

Funny thing is that Bill and Javier probably thought Marston was the rat until they died in 1911. Both of them knew the fact that he was hunting them down for the pinkertons in rdr1.

The only thing Rockstar got wrong or didn’t write well enough, was how no one, including Arthur, were pointing fingers at the real problems in camp; namely, everything the new guy, Micah, touched, went wrong; how he was leveraging himself to be leader and how Dutch was a bad leader. I’ve worked in many different occupations, and I genuinely think people who work together would’ve been calling out a lot more of each other, especially when money and lives are on the line.

Here’s just an example: Dutch walking away from Arthur, (who was struggling with a blade to his neck, ) leaving him to be murdered. How many of you fully expected Arthur to call Dutch out right after? I sure did! I basically had popcorn ready. How many were surprised when he quickly said it and then let the situation go down to a simmer after Dutch was like “no I didn’t”? I couldn’t believe the gang didn’t take sides right then and there! That was a HUGE betrayal and Arthur did nothing about it.

I LOVED the game, but it acted like the whole cast was stupid. THAT they got wrong. It especially discredited my boys Arthur and John.

Compare that (and the Dutch betrayal scene) to GTA V, where Trevor is fooled and feels betrayed by Michael. (The graveyard scene and afterwards) That as the viewer was great to watch because we saw the explosive confrontation coming miles away. This one had many moments where the confrontations should’ve been happening and didn’t.

Just my thoughts.

(Also, imagine if Trevor were in the gang. He probably would’ve murdered Micah and Dutch)

It made me sad that Javier ended up turning against John and Arthur. He was one of my favorites. I never played the first game and it bummed me out when I learned you have to kill him or turn him in in that game.

It's pretty reasonable to believe that John was the rat

1. He was the only one the Pinkertons took alive, while they killed Hosea and Lenny

2. Abigail somehow managed to "slip away" when Hosea was caught

3. He wasn't hung when he was in the state penitentiary

Obviously I know John wasn't a rat, but in the eyes of Dutch, Bill or Javier it seems pretty reasonable to think that he was
