Finish Dying Light On 0% Story, Is It Possible?

So this idea came to me after seeing several comments on my previous video joking that my next one one would be called How To Beat Dying Light Before Starting The Game! This made me laugh but also made me think of a strange Easter egg in The Following DLC where you can trigger an alternate ending by finding some items hidden around the map. Of course this isn't really beating Dying Light. But it did make me wonder if it was possible to make it happen not just on 0% story in The Following, but also using a new 0% Dying Light story campaign save too! And this would effectively be finishing the whole game before starting the story. Well I'd never tried this before and it sounded like a fun challenge so I had to give it a go!

Imagine seeing some dude pop out of a cave near your village, drive around a bit, and then trigger a nuclear explosion.

I like how this basically just turns the story into, "some dude drops into random countryside and nukes everything"

Small detail about this ending: the reason Kyle turns around and looks at the entrance of the trailer is that the devs reused the animation from the ending where Kyle agrees to trigger the bomb with The Mother, and turns around to look at her, as she thanks him right before it goes off.

Imagine this from the perspective of the tower
Some guy drops in and you recruit him as a runner.
He goes on his first mission and doesn't die.
Then some other guy stumbles into the sewers talking about a cure or something, and you send the new runner to go investigate.
A few days later you see a mushroom cloud over the horizon.

the only sad thing about the alternate ending is that you look back and saw that no one is with you in your last moments.

I know that this is an older video, but I felt that a comment that you made in the footage makes this a good place to say this.

The slide you can do when you're running can actually allow you to run indefinitely without ever getting tired. The nearest I can figure, is that the slide does not count as running, and as such allows you to recover a bit of "stamina" with every slide. So, periodically sliding while running basically gives you infinite stamina to run as long as you like.

I remember setting this off by accident when the DLC came out. Just randomly found the codes and cards. Came across the trailer and thought it was a little side quest option and set it off. I left it alone after that. 😂
