It was a smart idea using a perfect block to get rid of the last zombie at the beginning. Using the 2 guns Aiden was born with to maintain the challenge integrity.

Fun fact that might help for future reference, the reason the zombie at 6:17 walks straight into u, in higher difficulties they actually get lured by ur flashlight, when U shine it on them they’ll come investigate, but when it’s off they’ll path normally.

Veronikas death was something i really liked in the story. Yes, we had just met her and didn't get her too fleshed out. But its a reminder ANYONE CAN DIE AT ANYTIME IN A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. Something i really liked in the first game. The only thing i wish was changed, was that that we could prevent it. Our choices and where we go has a butterfly effect. Like in Elden Ring. Characters will die. But you can prevent almost every character death by exploring and reading clues

13:55 you can skip these guys simply by running outside to where the car factory is located. Aiden will auto blackout there, saving you from having to goomba stomp guys :)

I think the issue with DL2 is that people forget DL1 was amazing cause it got constant updates and tweaks dl2 won't be in the same state straight away

A nice detail that i never noticed until my last playthrough is that in the intro section of the game everytime we have a seizure because of the infection or take a inhibitor our stamina and health values change

13:57 Aiden starts turning into a volatile. The experiments Waltz did involved using infected dna on kids in the hope to allow humanity and above all else his daughter to survive, as he viewed the infection and what it could allow people to do as an evolutionary step for Humanity. He says pretty much all this stuff in his boss fight, but they do kind of throw it at you all at once while you're fighting him, so it is kind of easy to miss. All in all it's pretty generic but I still think it's cool.

the lore reason behind the turning into a volatile thing is supposedly because of how well Aiden did on the tests (which were early stage inhibitors, which are those needles that level your health or stamina), combined with the fact that Aiden keeps using inhibitors, because the inhibitors are basically just purposely injecting more THV (Harran Virus) into your system. I dont think the why was ever fully explained, but it all leads back to Aiden using every inhibitor he comes across to get stronger, which had some... undesirable effects
