For people confused as how night owls do it:

It’s just at night, we tend to be more relaxed and creative because our daily duties are done. Once our jobs and works are over, we have a sense of comfort and motivation to do all sorts of things since now we have “free time”.

Alongside the fact that, at night most people are asleep and we have the “night to ourselves”. It’s quiet, peaceful, and comforting. Doing homework/jobs, cleaning, listening to music, doing art, it just hits different.

Plus: 2am thoughts do be wildin so it’s an experience HAHAHA

Reply about why you like working better at night down below to see what else i missed, this is personally from my experience

I'm definitely a night owl. I don't like going to bed early, and by staying up late, I feel like I can get more time to myself. When it's later at night, I'm less likely to be pestered by emails and more likely to have the kitchen to myself. And there were times when I really wanted to finish (or at least make significant progress in) a project, before going to sleep. I can wake up early, when I have to get ready for something specific, but I tend to get sleepy later on in the day.

Throughout all of high school I would regularly go to bed around 1-2am and wake up around 5am to get to my first class at 6am. I hated sleeping with a passion for a lot of my adolescence, I wouldn't even take naps, I also never drank coffee or energy drinks, but I somehow still had the energy to get through the day. I can't function with a sleep schedule like that anymore, but I'm still not able to take naps, even if I try to, not matter how tired I feel.

100% a night owl. I can wake up early, but I have to plan it. Let me do my thing until 2 am and you'll get me at my best. That's what I love most about my flex hours. Outside my early morning meeting every so often I can start my day at 11 without a single person taking issue. I have gotten remarks about me doing stuff at night, but as long as I do my job it's not an issue.

Thank you for this video...my family hates the fact that I am a night owl and often miss out on morning plans and activities, but seeing all the comments I'm glad that I'm not the only one

I’m a night owl and an art student (3D modelling student) so that statistic about art students is spot on. I feel the most productive and get random burst of productivity sometimes at 12am or 2am

I find it crazy that in the two years I’ve been subscribed to the channel, it has grown from about 4M to 10M subscribers. I’m glad more and more people are finding this channel.

I dont sleep at all, two nights in a row, and then oversleep the next, literally zero sleep. Or my sleep schedule is literally all over the place

[EDIT] JESUS EVERYONE! Thank you so MUCH for the support on this one singular comment I made a year ago! I really appreciate everything you've all said and the advice you've given me! Thank you so much! And btw, I have improved, and my sleep schedule has gotten better, I do have better control over it. Thank you, I wish you all the best!

I'm a night owl and a music producer. I do agree that we, night owls, feel more creative at night. But personally, I feel more relaxed at night since it is quiet and nighttime is colder and it makes me more focused on what I want and need to do.

Although being a night owl has disadvantages like most shops are closed at night so I sometimes need to wake up earlier in order to buy stuffs outside or some people I work with are morning larks so I sometimes don't get sleep at all.

At first, I thought it was a bad thing being a night owl but as my life goes on, I realized that I can live my life at the fullest even being a night owl.

I’m definitely a night owl, but there are what I call “early bird cycles” where I find myself sleeping at or before midnight and/or sleeping late and waking up early. Idk what causes these. They aren’t regular either, but they just happen occasionally and only last up to a week.

As a night owl artist, I am more creative around 22:00 (10PM) and knowing there is less activity at night gives my mind a little more peace. Not having to worry about guests and awkward moments around strangers; however, I do get anxiety at night b/c of the risk of robberies and murders. No matter how “safe” a place is, chances are slim for where I live, but they are never zero.

playing music or listening to commentary while I draw helps me focus on getting art done.

There's a really big contrast between the sleep schedule my mom has and the one that I preffer (not do bc I am still in school and HAVE to abide to the schedule that they have [I do the schedule in summer vacation and such]). My mom is a morning lark while I am a Night Owl, which is weird bc the rest of my family are Morning Larks, guess my personality and inside chemistry take more from my dad's part of the family.

I’m a night owl. Miss most of the morning, usually waking up around 1-3pm. Night is the time to let my mind run free, and the latest I ever go to sleep is 7am. Assuming I can sleep, which can be a problem as a night owl. Sometimes your body just has too much energy reserved from how late you wake up that you end up going a day without sleep. That’s really the only drawback I’ve experienced.

I do want a more productive sleep schedule, since with how late I wake up it gives little time to get things done that my night time usually gets cramped with things to do. I’m not a morning person, but I at least want to be in bed by 1am and up by 1pm. That’s a goal, and if I can keep that consistency I will be more productive with my time.

I'm a Night Owl. Night is a very calming time for thinking, a lot of ideas coming into my mind and I enjoyed it. It's also quiet and peaceful to start project or assignments, no disturbances. I calculate my time of sleep, 4hours of sleep is good for me to stay active the whole day. I can just take a nap at night for two hours and wake up again.

I can just sleep at morning if there's no schedule and avoid people. But I think things would be different after I graduate and get a job.

I sleep around 2-3 am. When im having anxiety at night I just stay up throughout the night. I like to wake up during 11am-12pm because I enjoy the Afternoons and im able to function during the Afternoons. For me 5-6pm is when im the most energetic but after 7 my body starts to wind down. I physically cant do anything during the mornings.

I'm a night owl, and because of school starting so early I've been consistently getting sick every month due to a lack of sleep. I can't fall asleep until around 2am, sometimes later, so during the week I only get 5-6 hours of sleep every night. I just wish I had the option to exist on my schedule, so I wouldn't miss so much school. I just missed two weeks and I have to go back on Monday, and I'm totally unprepared.

I certainly fall under the night owl schedule. It's just easier for me although it comes at the cost of doing activities with friends and family. Might spend the odd week as a morning lark as the sleep pattern is not consistent. But more often than not. I quickly fall into a night owl again.

i felt like I’m a morning lark, napper, and a night owl all combined. I wake up naturally at 7am, always have a nap time after class, then I’ll be energized again for the rest of the day until 2am max. For me, I find out that my brain easily memorises things early in the morning, but at night its more towards creativity. I’d study and do my notes neatly at night so that I can revise it early in the morning. I’m way more efficient that way 😬

I am a night owl, have always been. But I am also a neurodivergent person and sometimes I just can’t function so I nap. Sometimes I wake up feeling better but most times it makes it worse.

I think the reason why we function so well at night is because there are no distractions and is easier to just exist without a restrictive frame, I do so much at night, but in the day I get distracted so easily. 😅

I'm a mix between night owl and woodcock. I always stay up late and feel least tired at night. But I have an early riser job so I'm always dead tired during the day until the sun sets, then I suddenly have energy and can't sleep.
