The RTX 4070 Ti, the artist formerly known as the RTX 4080 12GB is here and it turns out that when it comes to its ACTUAL price, there hasn't been all that much of a change. And that's bad news versus the RX 7900 XT....which was already a pretty raw deal.

I wanted to head the comments off at the pass about pricing. NVIDIA's $799 isn't gonna hold. The "$850" they (not ASUS) quoted to reviewers for the TUF OC we have, isn't gonna hold. Based on stock levels we've seen first-hand of incoming SKUs, the AVERAGE price of the RTX 4070 Ti is $915. The vast majority of them are in the $900 range with some pushing above $1000. There will be a few $799 cards to prove something was available at some time but that's it. Sorry for the pinned comment but most of the info came in after we'd left for the New Years break and then CES.

Nvidia wants to be apple, but there's something they're forgetting: Everyone has a phone, people don't need to buy GPU's. I'm bowing out this gen, AMD & Nvidia can get back to me when they bring a gen over gen performance per $$ upgrade. I seem to remember a $500 card that competed with a $1200 GPU the next gen. . .

The improvement over the 3070Ti just shows this 4070Ti should be at $600, then that would be an okayish generational gap.

AMD's RX7900XT hangs very well, even in ray tracing. Faster in raster. Very nice! Not to mention 20GB of VRAM.

I'm glad Hardware Canucks (and seemingly every other reviewer) are calling NVIDIA out on this bullshit. No way in hell I'll be supporting this anti-consumer company anytime soon.

Would’ve preferred to see a comparison with the 3080 instead of the 3080 ti because of the much better value of the 3080 when there’s only about a 10-12% difference between it and the ti. But other then that fantastic video

Other channels showed the 4070 Ti trading blows with the 3090 Ti, but your testing indicates that it's actually closer to the 3080 Ti. That could be why a lot of 3080 Ti GPUs being auctioned on eBay this morning suddenly disappeared. There's just not enough improvement to justify upgrading a 30 series GPU at these prices.

Built myself a nice PC with a 3070ti, last year. I'm really in awe with it and with its performance in games. Don't think I'll be be upgrading anytime soon. Excellent coverage of how fishy Nvidia has become. The price/value of their most recent cards is extremely disappointing!
