I’ve been quite fine with my RX6500 XT, I will be honest it was bought without much research because of a sudden drop in pricing and was definitely stung by a lack of a hardware encoder, however given that I game at 1080p 60 it’s been great for me so far, goes great with my Ryzen 2600.

What's wild to me is that almost every new release has pretty much direct competition with much cheaper and similarly performing previous generation cards, making it way more compelling to just go with one of those instead unless you need it for something specific like AV1 encoding or you're going with one of the absolute highest end GPUs.

I honestly love nvidia. the way they overprice their garbage & kids flood the market whilst better performing radeon cards sell cheaper & cheaper I don’t ever want that to change
