The best part about this scene is that it shows them as they are kids who are crazy in love and just trying to have fun!

The part where Rose explains why Lovejoy was hired, why was it cut? It would’ve made more sense.

James Cameron commentary; They make it down to the crew-only area and they think they've gotten away and uh this part is actually in the film until about here but then an extension where she talks about why LoveJoy was hired by Calories' father to keep him out of trouble. Later in the story, LoveJoy becomes a big threat, so here as a writer I was trying to set the stage for him as a tough-guy and a villian and set sense of them on the lamb all throughout the ship. The scene was ultimately just taken out for time.

Rose told Jack about this manservant who Cal's father hired him to make sure his son, Cal won't get into trouble, when he crawled towards the rough parts of the area forgetting his wallet.

Let’s be honest, even if Lovejoy had caught up with them, if they worked together Jack and Rose could’ve easily overpowered him. Jack does so all by himself in the deleted dining room scene, after all.
