I do the starting arguments with people for no reason for dopamine. Because for some odd reason it feels like its the only time people are actually talking to me and caring about whatever were talking about.. i dont know how else to explain it. Its not to upset or make the other person mad, and i cant help it

Just start to get diagnosed. So far, I've had all the testing done.ASD tested at 39. And adhd. It all is starting to explain why I am the way I am. I've been telling my doctors for years that it felt like I didn't have any dopamine. Your videos explains it better than the doctors. Thank you so much!
If I don't get a dopamine hit, I get very aggitated. I have a hard time getting motivated to do healthy dopamine producing activities. Thank you again.

This is awesome, thank you!
Being 62, and only diagnosed 3 months ago, I am figuring out what this all means for me (aside from being "combined type ") I'm probably ASD as well, but that's much harder to find a qualified Dr to assess me.
A lot of your content I can definitely relate to

I feel blessed to have the ADHD/autism combo. The autism part craves structure which in turn helps my ADHD. It’s also likely why I’ve never been one for risky behaviors simply for the dopamine. The autism part likely keeps the ADHD in check.
Times it’s an issue is with sensory overload and becoming overstimulated more easily than others I know with ADHD. Especially with textures.

Thank you man. I drink so much caffeine despite my dentist hating it because it's bad for your teeth but I feel I NEED it. I tend to work out a lot not because of gains and it's literally healthy but also because it makes me feel better and more motivated to do things. I'm never satisfied with anything in life, there's always more to give and more to do but I struggle so much to do those things. Also I have Terrible short term memory so I suck at puzzles 😂 I store everything long-term.

I definitely struggle with not having enough dopamine...I want to accomplish so manu things, yet I never have the drive to do anything. Can you please do a video on some healthy ways to get more dopamine and how to get the drive to initiate things we want to accomplish? Thanks!

I struggle with executive function and trying to get that dopamine. I haven't had much success with exercise and many other healthy dopamine fixes outside of physical work demands. I usually play into the unhealthy things like sugar, caffeine, and screen time. I don't have much external support like friends or family to help me push and make those healthy things habits. Do you have any suggestions for figuring out how to get on a healthier, more functional, path?

I’m addicted to everything I do until I lose interest and I move into the next thing

Intense exercise was my go-to stress reducer in grad school, and I found it was essential to my feeling human and less overwhelmed during my commute when I returned to school in 2021-23.

As an adult, my worst vices have been weed, sugar, and shopping. Since getting diagnosed and medicated, I have really lost the urge to do those things so impulsively.

This is why opiate addiction is so prevalent in undiagnosed ADHD adults...

im a dysfunctional adult with adhd with allot of addictions but my main addiction is just dopamine. Sometimes i fall in deep depression just because the stuff i usally enjoyed dont do it anymore. Most of my life it was videosgames, it always did it to me but new games only last a short time then it becomes sooo boring and i never touch the game again. I never finished anything in life at some point im unable to do it physical and mentally.

I walked for hours every day as a kid up into my 30’s. Then I got serious about work and now I’m in my 60’s and way overweight because I turned to carbs for calm and focus. Just retired. Maybe I can substitute walking again.

I wish people would talk about more...I was very ...crazy. Drugs, alcohol, violent in some ways, loud, angry. Now praise Jesus I'm 16 years clean and sober. I for sure now use exercise but I've had to learn that rest is ok.
