They need to stop creators from being able to use bots as subscribers, tricking people into believing that they have a big channel when they don’t that should be against policy too everybody should be forced to have actual subscribers and YouTube need to get more stricter with reinforcing the policy against using bots for subscribers 💯

I know people don't like TTS voices, but another thing to consider is that there are many mute (as in unable to speak) aspiring content creators who massively benefit from this technology, allowing them to somewhat overcome a restriction that everyone else doesn't have nor considers.

I see some creators promoting things like "Create 100 YouTube Shorts in 60 minutes with AI" or other similar tags. I am like PLEASE NO! I would think YouTube at some level feels the same way, as if you have let's say 5, 000, 000 new YT content creators worldwide with their new AI tools creating 500 cheap videos a day would create 2 1/2 billion new videos a day. Certainly YT does not want to host that much garbage. Thank goodness for the redundancy flagging you mentioned regarding monetization, as that will take the wind out of the sails of many.

And this shows how A.I. can be a great thing that helps us, but it only takes a few bad idiots to mess it up for all of us.

I use TTS voices in my videos coz my voice is very unclear and not great to listen too. I hope this doesn't my ability to be monetized in the future. I was hoping to be monetized so i can upgrade to voice actors one day.

Seems every week YouTube is adding more and more restrictions to the point where we will end up with just videos of people talking about the weather. Youtube.... don't even bother.

i still use A.I Voice on my videos, and even tell my viewers that i use them. but I'm still monetized. i think Rob explains it perfectly here, as long as you're making the viewers happy, youtube won't demonetize you. thank you, Rob and the VidIQ Team.

You haven't mentioned what I want to know. If we use TTS, should we give yes to Altered or synthetic content? Or No to give?

If it's a case that YT wants to be legally covered so they (once more) satisfy advertisers, they could add several tags we tick before finishing uploading and this could not be visible to the public. For example: "Did you use AI narration?" Yes, or no. A tick next to that should satisfy the legal acceptance of the action. It's the same with all other already existing tabs, like when you state if your content is for children only. Then, to revise a comment in a previous video about the topic, not many of us have English as our birth language. I'm just giving my personal example again, with which I'm pretty certain many will identify. These days I finished narrating 52 30-minute episodes airing in two TV stations in my country. What's the detail? These are in Greek, but I'm not using Greek as a language in my YT channel. I can be good at narrating in Greek, good enough for local Broadcast TV but bad enough at narrating in English for my YT channel. Therefore, the solution is that I have to use a paid AI voice. Now, if YT does not clarify that, small to medium channels will lose an advantage compared to big channels with native speakers. I mean a bigger channel can easily pay an English-speaking narrator, the same way Greek studios pay me to narrate in my language. But I can safely say that not only does this cost more, but it takes way more hours to complete, including recording and corrections. Furthermore, I, like any other narrator, cannot be behind a microphone and narrate more than 30 pages ideally, or more than 2 hours of narrating per day.

Okay, thanks for the info. My question is Filmora 13 has in their audio library, music labeled with AI (ie: Slapdash Polka - AI Music). Would that need to be disclosed?

Rob's expressions in the last 45 seconds are something else😂, no offence Rob. And AI can never replace that.

AI voices have gotten a lot better and keep getting better. They can be a useful option for people who for some reason cannot speak, either due to a disability, poor English, or maybe they’re just not such a good speaker and aren’t comfortable using their own voice to speak. Also, AI voices can be useful for creative purposes. For example, if you’re creating a storytelling video (or maybe a movie), you might have multiple characters in your story. Unless you’re a voice actor or can afford hiring voice actors, you won’t be able to create the voices for your characters without the help of AI. I think AI can have a lot of creative uses, and there’s nothing misleading about that. You would just be using AI as a tool to help you create content that people enjoy. You would still be doing the planning on your own, and AI is just there to assist you to create something as you’re imagining it. Think of how many more creative projects could be completed simply because people are able to use AI tools to get the work done faster.

I'm not worried, as long as they don't ban AI completely, because all my content is based on AI, although when it comes to editing videos I do everything myself. AI is only used for the voiceover since I don’t have good voice for my content and also for image generation

I don't expect YouTube to turn monetization off for ai created video's, due to the text to speech being helpful to many (including myself for voice-acting) Creators on the platform

Thanks for sharing this. I have played around with AI Invideo to see what it was like. Hmmm.
