I think you make a good point right at the end about repeative content. At the start when AI voices on videos came out I would watch since the voice I was hearing was only used with 1 maybe 2 creators. I.e. I assocaited it with them and their content. But now, go through shorts and the same voice keeps being heard on a variety of different creators videos (normally low quality and/or scammy videos). So many videos from different creators using that voice just feel like copycat material.

Due to how much poor content I have experience with that AI voice, I now by default skip videos as soon as I hear it. Hence like you were mentioning, it isn't the good creators which are causing issues, it is the bad actors. Take my example there with the AI voices. Bad actors have now made it that I associated certain AI voices only with bad actor content, irrespective if a good creator is using it.

I’m glad they are handling it this way. Honestly, I had planned on posting on my videos that my images are AI generated and not real. Because I would rather be tagged or shut down by YouTube than to have someone get hurt or hurt someone because of what they saw on my channel. (October 30, 1938 radio broadcast)
I mean, surely it wouldn’t be that extreme, but I still wouldn’t want to take the chance.
Also, I’d rather have it this way than for AI to be banned. Right?

When I started watching this my head exploded. No one wants to hear me say, “Oh look how beautiful, ” five hundred times while I am filming the scenes and animals at National Parks for my channel. I am somewhat cynical. I think YouTube is going to use this to go after people that disagree with them ideologically or who post genuine information that contradicts a narrative YouTube supports. The problem with saying "bad actors" is that it becomes a label that you can just slap on anyone you don't like.

Thank you for another informative video. While I see the benefit in dealing with abusers of AI, and while I believe this particular iteration of this rule won't affect most of us, this is YouTube we're talking about. What they design as a scalpel inevitably becomes a sword, and I, for one, am greatly concerned about what this will evolve into. Specifically, if their system for detecting what content is generated by AI is as competent as their system for detecting stolen content, I fear many of us will have brand new reasons to randomly wake up to demonetization. Before they start creating more systems that automatically detect ANYthing that could lead to the loss of our income overnight, they NEED to fix the Content ID system. Why they continue to ignore us on this is beyond me.
