Показать описание

Dr. Berg talks about high pulse rates. Here are the possibilities:
1. Hyperthyroid
2. Low potassium
3. Medication side-effects
4. Epinephrine
5. Caffeine/nicotine
6. Heart problem
7. Adrenal stress

The normal pulse rate should be 72, however, it could be a lot less if you are very fit. A high pulse or high heart rate is called tachycardia.

Thank you Doctor Berg! I have tended to have a pulse rate around 100. That part in the video where you say "low potassium"… I've been doing 3 avocados per day and was really pleased to see 84 and 88 the last 2 times I measured my pulse. I haven't seen such a low pulse in decades! It feels weird… It feels great!

High intensity cardio does help . 45-55 minutes of cardio on the treadmill will help . You have to push yourself and sweat 😓. Do it 3 times a week .

So glad you did this video! I've been doing intermittent fasting for 2 weeks and I've lost 16 pounds. However, this whole time I've been sick! I have a terrible cough, runny nose and just feel fatigued. I checked my blood pressure, normal as usual, then the pulse was 105! I freaked out. Now I'm kinda thinking it did say my hydration was very low and I wasn't getting enough potassium. So thanks I feel better!

Other causes: severe anemia, dysautonomia/pots, dehydration, histamine intolerance/mcad, infection (especially certain lyme coinfections, such as babesia, which also causes air hunger), and food sensitivities.

I've been having problems with my heart racing too. However, the doctors have ruled out ALL of those possibilities. At times it has gone over 125 bmp and having PVCs, even while asleep. So now I have to joy of seeing a cardiologist every 6 months.

I was diagnosed with tachycardia when I was 17 (I'm 30 now), reasons unknown, and have been on blood pressure meds ever sense. Before I was put on meds, my resting heart rate was about 115bpm. I'd love to get off the medication and handle the root issue. My cardiologist has done tests and ruled out heart problems. I'll definitely be taking this list to her and seeing if she's willing to work with me.
I wish you lived near me Dr Berg! It would be amazing to have a doctor willing to work with me, not just throw drugs at the symptoms.

My blood pressure is good 117/78 but my heart rate is usually between 80-95. Why?

I am very physically fit and my low resting heart rate during the night is 49 or lower. Many times its from 43 to 45. I have noticed what I eat (and how much) can affect it. Certain foods makes it go up. I have noticed my pulse a few times being 45 while I was sitting & meditating. Often if I am relaxing it can be around 55 but I have seen it at 51 as well. I can be carrying 15 pounds of groceries home (mainly grass fed beef + organic produce) for 2 miles and my pulse is generally in the 80s & 90s. The 15 pounds is generally in one tote bag on one side of my body so I am doing the farmer's walk and strengthening my core muscles!! And when I go for long walks at a fast speed my heart rate is usually around 133. A few hours of tennis against the backboard with lots of running to whack the ball (I play it different on purpose to do lots of running up & back) my heart rate goes into the 140s, will hit 150 briefly.

I am almost 50 YO, no meds, 110 pounds and on a keto diet (limited to what I can eat due to 20 years of undiagnosed celiac & many food sensitivities). But my main source of calories is grass fed beef & lamb.

Thanks doc. Good information. My heart rate is high so after deep breathing it goes down. When I go for blood donation they always tell me to take deep breath and heart rates goes down.

Dr. Berg, pls talk about hypothyroidism with betadine allergy. Is iodine absorption getting affected? Pls also tell us if the nutritional value of vegetables is lost if chopped and stored in the fridge? Very grateful for all your videos. Thank you.

week 6, tachycardia, very high blood pressure and syncope. I had this before keto, but it had gotten better. It seemed to be acidosis. when it started again after being keto for a month, I cut protein and stepped up acceptable vegies. I know Im fat adapted, and have lost over 15 pounds. I had very bad edema for the last three years. my feet look amazing, and I can bend my fingers again. My thyroid is very large, however tests say it's working fine. one cup of coffee a day. no other stimulants or drugs. my dr diagnosed this swelling and fainting problem as menopause and crazy but I went through menopause years ago.
I gained about 30 pounds on the low residue diet, prescribed for constant vomiting, and diarrhea when the tachycardia faint happened. Im not saying she did nothing, but the more it wouldn't be menopause the more annoyed she got about my fainting complaint. my lymph nodes all became visible and are still after three years. my breast and arm swelled suddenly, went in and she said I was just getting fat. well I stopped going to the dr, until I got a fungal infection that I couldn't get rid of. first thing she does is zero in on that same breast and starts yelling at me about it and why didn't I see someone about it. I did. I went to the ER, who sent me to her, crazy, fat. tried to see another dr who was afraid to see me twice, because he worked for her. both him and his nurse looked at each other, with this look, and that dr said its not menopause, but he didn't want to lose his job over it. that is understandable. he ordered a lymph node biopsy way back then, but the place refused to do it and the referred me to a specialist, because of the gigantic strange look of them. But annoyed boss dr ignored the letter and insisted I was just crazy about my arm breast and bubose looking lymph nodes. I went home to die, but didn't die, I just got more swollen like the michelin man and my world stopped. I used to be a musician I didn't get paid a lot, but I got paid. Until my hands got too swollen to play, and I didn't want to scare people by fainting of a stage. eventually, I went keto, start feeling better and losing weight, swelling is so much better. my legs were no longer leg shaped. they start looking like legs again, and here comes the fainty tachycardia again. I have requested a different dr, but no one will take me after all that. they just keep trying to send me back to that same dr. Id rather die, so, Im pretty sure its over for me, but the keto adventure has been pretty great.

I've resting hr of 56 and I'm a little overweight and smoke occasionally and it keeps my bp at the ideal level. Doc says it very good. I do about 30 mins of intense enough treadmill and cycling most days, so you can lower your hr through regular work-outs.

Dr Eric thank you for sharing your videos they help me alot. If you please make a video on why stomach begins to pulsating and sometimes i feel like my whole body is pulsating, plus legs and back pain, i also feel nausea sometimes. I don't know what to do. Even doctors can't understand my condition. I doubt whether it is AAA syndrome. But acutally don't know what to do.
