I Canceled YouTube TV and May Never Go Back!

YouTube TV has been my #1 live TV service for several years. Here's why I just canceled it for good.

The whole invalid traffic claim feels like pure fraud on YTs part, effectively stealing money back from creators. Putting the onus on you to fix a problem they don't even prove exists that's out of your control, and without giving the tools to address it. 2 words: CLASS. ACTION.

When I cut the cord on regular cable years ago and switched to streaming, I never went back. Traditional TV is tedious and annoying due to the commercials. We had been skipping ads for many years, and in November 2015, we finally cut the cord for good. We've never regretted it. Occasionally, I come across a regular TV, and I'm always repulsed by the commercials.

Good video. I paused my YouTube TV in April, and canceled a few days ago. The price for what I am watching was just too much. I don't really watch sports, so Philo was perfect for me. I am paying the additional $10 for additive content there and am still saving a lot of money.

Further, Google as a company has turned me off in many ways. Massive layoffs, cancelling products that people came to rely on, and the nonsense they are pulling on creators shows me that they've lost interest in consumers.

The lesson for me is to stick with companies who have products that speak to their core competencies, not companies who want to play in someone else's backyard and leave when they're bored.

I definitely agree with Michael! I hear the exact same thing from other content creators. People with even more subscribers are getting the same stuff that you are getting....invalid traffic...what a joke. Lets be honest YT is trying to save money and unfortunately a lot of creators are completely leaving, and I find that very disheartening. YT is not what it used to be. I appreciate all of tips and deals. You have saved me a lot of money. Thanks for everything you do!!

I switched over from cable to YTTV for money saving... it was $65. Now its over $80 and with what I pay for Internet I might as well go back to cable

I dumped them at the $45 hike and may never go back. Haha I’m never going back.

I cut them because the price went up and kept losing channels. Now I am just using my air antenna for regular local channels than paying YouTubeTV. I like their DVR and Guide. But for the price, was not worth it anymore since they used to have SNY and no longer have it.

YouTube TV has been one of the best for me too, but I have some major issues with it. ❤ My father has Alzheimer's, and it has been so difficult for him to use it. 😢💔🙏🏻 YouTube TV's UI is horrible! Every day my dad struggles with changing channels because it doesn't sync up to our remotes correctly. The only reason we're keeping it is because it is definitely good for cost-saving compared to cable, but they really need to improve the user experience, especially for disabled or impaired people. Even I struggle navigating the interface, and I'm a very tech-savvy person. I've heard a lot of other people complain about these issues as well. I'm glad you made this video and brought some of these issues to light. I think YouTube TV is one of the best out there right now, but they definitely need to make navigating it easier for users and making it so it's not so clunky!
