How To Cancel Your YouTube Premium Membership or Free Trial

In today's quick video I show you how to cancel your YouTube Premium membership or free trial as well as canceling your YouTube Premium free trial. In this video, I show you how to do this within the YouTube app but the steps are the same on desktop but you will just want to head directly to YouTube and follow the same steps.

Step one is to make sure you are logged into the YouTube Premium account that you wish to cancel or be canceling. Click your profile icon image, then select subscriptions and memberships. Then simply select the Premium account you wish to cancel and select "deactivate". Now there is an option to pause the membership rather than cancel it completely. If this is something you want to do, select pause membership. Otherwise, select continue to cancel.

Hello, yesterday I was on mobile and on youtube, then theis big premuin free trial thing popped up and I dont know what happened but the next thing I know, I got the free trial. It end on the 19th and I want to cancel it before they charge me. Like many people here in the comment section, I do not have a deactivate button. It says I have no purchases but I also pressed 'manage membership' and it says that my preview ends on the 19th, and it also has a drop down list that says to buy the other free trials available. I dont have a deactivate button.

Do you happen to know if, say I have Premium, does deactivation take place immediately, or when the next billing cycle comes around? I recently was billed for the next month, but now would like to cancel YouTube. Just wanted to know if I should wait until a couple of days before they normally bill my card. Thanks.

My concern is if I am scammed to pay the first month how do you cancel through Google Play. If it gets established on your mobile phone you have to cancel though the Play Store. Everyone is getting scammed.

The drop-down from manage subscriptions was only visible for us on a computer. We couldn’t see it on our phones or IPad. Hope this helps 👍 We are leaving family plan and just getting a single paid annually for less money since they are raising the rates so much!!

I took two months subscripton with voucher I got through google pay, free trail. 20 was charged as a charge for something. I also gave the card details. Will the premium disappear if I deactivate now?

I'm trying to deactivate/cancel. But there's no button for it. Looked in my account and it says no purchases. It says its a preview but I don't want a preview at all. I must have misclicked on something before. Do I wait till the free trail ends??

Over two years my UT premium subscription expired....i had cancelled and changed my Bank card.
