Today I want to cover the health benefits of honey. We’re going to be talking about raw honey, not pasteurized honey.

Raw honey benefits:
• It’s anti-microbial
• It’s anti-inflammatory
• It’s anti-allergy
• It helps lower blood pressure
• It has B-vitamins, magnesium, calcium, and potassium

Honey is a sweetener that also has a lot of good stuff. However, it still has 50% fructose and 50% glucose. This means it can slow down your weight loss, and it has a relatively high glycemic index.

Certain types of honey, like tupelo honey, are much lower on the glycemic index. If you want to consume honey, you may want to try raw manuka honey. This type of raw honey is unprocessed, and it has a lot of great properties.

Be sure that the honey you buy is raw and not pasteurized. Pasteurized honey is almost like pure sugar, and it’s potential health-boosting properties have been cooked away.

Had a horrible eczema flare up on my arms it was awful thought I had blood poisoning. I had read ancient cultures used it for infection. Coated my arms in honey and it cleared up in about two days. Great for wounds.

I used raw honey and vigin coconut oil interchangeably when I got shingles two years ago. I was given prescription meds to start, but I decided to try the honey and oil rubs first..Applying the honey and then coconut oil everyday over the area.. cleared up the pain and the outbreak within a week..Awesome stuff.

Manuka honey will not help with allergies as only local honey can do that. However other than that it has the best nutritional properties of all honies.

I had the most interesting experience with my son, who was about 10 months old at the time.
We gave him green beans, for the first time. He broke out in a rash almost immediately.
He started crying and demanding honey. He had never had honey, because I knew children under 1 year old should not have it.
He was insistent... yelling, honey, honey, honey!!!
So, we gave him a small amount.
The rash went away, within 10 minutes.

Because we are spiritual beings, who’ve lived many lives, sometimes we bring knowledge with us, that seems unexplainable.
He never asked for honey again. Glad I listened to him.

Dr. Berg I've been eating a Golden Curry Sauce mix, made by S&B mild in spice, I believe a Product from Japan with loads of celery, yellow onion & carrots. I love it for its blend of sweet spices, I also add braised Sirloin steak or browned boneless chicken breast, S&B Mild Curry and veggies satisfy my cravings for sweets. No rice, but 1/2 a baked potato (Occasionally ) with 2 1/2 cups Curry & veggies takes care of my hunger for 8 to 16 hours. I personally started watching your videos about three or four weeks ago. my weight when I started was 225 ( Naked ), today after 3-4 weeks I weigh 197 pounds ( Clothed ). The information on insulin & adrenal glands what to eat, fasting & cutting sugars, plus exercise has changed the way I think about my health. You always upload a video about my next thought on food, ie fermented foods & today honey. many blessings & a great big THANK YOU to you and your family. I have the videos of my progress & will share the before & after if you would like. Keep up the great work. You will save & change many lives all over this world. Love your kind soft yet firm demeanor. Mitchell Clem

Just started watching this channel. I got my mom to buy organic Kale and I make a juice with it in the morning with strawberries. I also eat three eggs. I bought your vitamin D+K2 supplement just today. Cause I live in Chicago and no sunlight plus last time I got my blood tested he said I was dangerously low on vitamin D and he gave me 50, 000 iu of vitamin D. I cut out all sugars, wont eat anything with sugar I drink only water. Started eating lots of greens. Cut out the bad fast foods I use to eat on a regular basis.

Hello, Dr. Berg. I never hear you talk the amazing pomegranate or the wonderful grapefruit, possibly because they're fruits (which you normally don't encourage on a keto diet), but I think it might be worth highlighting a few nutritious winners for very moderate consumption, even on a weight loss regime. Just a thought. :-)

Dr Berg, what do you think about Royal Jelly? Is it good for daily consumption? Thank you very much!

I recently started the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting. Im a beekeeper and harvest my own honey. It's nice to know that I don't have to worry about giving the honey up entirely. Although, I won't start using my honey until I'm at a comfortable weight.

Manuka honey is one of the most expensive honeys but I highly recommend it for 2nd and even 3rd degree burns. Make sure it's a 16 plus factor to be most effective for burns.
