My oldest adult daughter purposely triggers me then plays the victim. She’s divorced with 3 kids. Divorced 4 years ago. Keeps getting new boyfriends each time getting them to move in. She often upgrade boyfriends kicking the current one out but I noticed she does this covertly. She’s on her 3rd man now after divorce. I called her on it and now I’m getting the “she needs a safe space from me.” I realize I will never be able to help or advise her in any way as she cannot handle any criticism. Yet when she wants my help, I give it only to discover later, she leaves out a lot of pertinent information that would have affected my perspective on her situation. I think I’ve finally learned my lessons. Heartbroken 💔

Amen. My wife's best friend started doing this after she died. I had never seen that side of her. It took a while
to recognize that she was just taking advantage and playing the victim. Very sad.

Yes…. I know someone who is jealous of any relationship I have with others I love… and yes, this person has so damaged our relationship over decades together and damaged the relationship with his children but somehow it’s all my fault in his eyes. But I do not see the world through his eyes anymore
