My heart is broken for all the people caught in this disaster. I love Front Street and the beautiful banyan tree in the park. I do hope the tree survives, and they can rebuild their lives somehow. 😢😢

Goverment officials were warned years ago of the potential for this type of event. This is not a black swan. Officials took no action to prepare the citizens to evacuate based on weather conditions as they do in California. The officials should all stand trial for the murder of the 55 souls that we lost. Stop patting these people on the back. Their negligence is criminal.

Took many vacations to Maui and loved Lahaina. Seeing that beautiful big 150 year old Banyan tree burned, makes me sick and can’t recognize nothing! My heart is first with the people who lost their lives in this devastating fire. Prayers and love to the people of Maui.❤
