If my parents ever left me alone for a weekend id just end up doing stupid stuff, like taking a boogie board down the stairs, cooking naked, setting up a nerf gun target practice, skateboarding in the house. And enjoy being completely alone.

though I was the type my parents could trust to hold things down until they got back, ever since I was in middle school....but I was a rare kind of kid (young adult now) :P

If you have a good relationship with the neighbors, you can ask them to check in and keep an eye out.

At 14 and 16 my sister and I used to be left home alone all the time but nothing used to happen. It depends with the person but if I we're to be left home alone now, that I'm 19 I'm definitely not going to sleep in that house

I'm an only child, whose only interests while home alone is to watch the neighborhood cats (and feed/play with them) and watch Ask Steve on YouTube. I ain't getting anybody in the house with there being some tension, unless they're my friends. And even then, if it's _that_ one girl, _whew_ .

So true. My parents were lucky though. I hate parties when I was a teenager and still do now.

You have to start leaving them alone sometimes, just talk to them and give them guidance. If you have a good neighbor nearby you can possible ask the neighbor to check on them. Hopefully even if you do something you didn't want them to do, they will be careful. That is how we know if our children are listening to us, when we start to allow them, to stay by themselves, doing things by themselves. Pray for your children and let God watch over them.
