New York Earthquake | New York City Shakes As 4.8 Magnitude Earthquake Hits U.S North-east |N18V

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake recorded in New Jersey shook residents in surrounding states and New York City on Friday morning.

The temblor was reported about 5 miles north of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, at about 10:23 a.m. Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter was about 45 miles away from New York City, where residents reported shaking furniture and floors.

There was a bigger earthquake in the' 80s. I was in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and the ground swayed and I thought that I was going to lose my balance. I don't know how people in seriously seismic places can cope with the suddenness and not knowing what's next. It's worse than a crazed drug addict rampaging through the subway cars. I guess it's all what you're used to.

There was just another one, i would say about 4.0, ...The first one was pretty strong an hour South of Lebanon, for about 30 seconds...Definitely felt like the house might cave in...i keep feeling rumbling and tremors, and the tremors have been getting stronger and more frequent in the past 6 months...And i feel there are going to be more in the near future, even stronger...
