Stewart on 'heartbreaking' health effects for veterans exposed to 'burn pits'

I’ve personally witnessed The obstacle course we subject our veterans to when they seek help. It is beyond shameful. If we one day learn that decision makers and program creators at the VA were acting on behalf state enemy interests, I would not be surprised. The organization seems largely invested in, and exacerbating VA cases of depression, homelessness, anxiety and unspeakable suffering. 22 veteran suicides per day through a broken system, weaponized pharmaceuticals, over-medication, and lack of competent care.

I served two tours in Iraq. 03-04 and 05-06. Burn pits were everywhere. Everything from the giant burn pit FIELDS on air bases, to the burn pits we had on small FOBs, they were everywhere. We burned everything in that pit. Trash, spoiled food, human feces, dead mice dogs and cats, plastic of all sorts, empty batteries from everything from AAs to giant lithium batteries for radios, unburnt powder from howitzers...you name it. Day in day out...

I suffer from burn pits. I have to wear a cpap . I stop breathing at night. I hope the VA realizes the impacts that has done to our respiratory health and psychological and physical health issues.
