I noticed a couple of people complaining about ads before the video, so FYI - if you want a video to NEVER be seen on YouTube, disable the ads. I guarantee you no one will know who this great man was. But, of course, if you have ZERO idea how publishing/media/YouTube works, then sure... you have a point. But seriously, when someone dies and a magazine puts that person on the cover, do they give away the magazine and not run ads. Sheesh. We DROPPED everything else we were working on to get this out ASAP... YouTube is a big business, they want videos to serve ads... so for us to disable ads is counter-productive to us honoring Satoru Iwata. To be clear, if you are a gamer AND followed Nintendo and the creative geniuses behind the games and consoles, you may know who he was... 99% of the world's population probably doesn't know who he was. To conclude, I'd be curious to see those few leading the Outrage Camp what they'd say if we ran ads before a Mother Teresa RIP clip. At the time I wrote this: 4800 people (and counting) Liked vs 100 who Disliked... I ask you, in all seriousness, where to draw the line? We did a clip on ISIS, should we disable ads there too? What about Cancer-related clips? If you think that bashing us for not disabling ads on this clip sounds smart and enlightened, please bear in mind that Mr Iwata was a passionate gamer and builder who took a pay cut at one point to lead by example, but he was an executive of a video game company. A video game company. So, I say this VERY respectfully, we value all opinions, we always have... but sheesh, there's a time and place to get on your high horse. But here? The argument bashing us makes no sense... we'd get more views (and ergo, more revenue) by having done something with more universal commercial appeal.

When I went back into Animal Crossing: New Leaf before hearing the news, many of my Perfect Peach trees had suddenly withered away...Which is when I learned about what had happened soon after.

It had then occurred to me: While the one rotten peach may be disheartening, the two fresh perfect peaches dropped by a dying tree can be planted to make even more.

Mr. Iwata was the tree, his commitment and passion for so many fantastic games are the Perfect Peaches, and we are the Villagers who will plant them, so that even more of the trees which will bear such fruit will be able to sprout and grow over time.

We all understand now, that so many of the games he has helped make possible have become akin to happy homes for veterans, newcomers and strangers alike...

I'm still sad that he's gone =/ every time I hear his name I think of everything he's done. Time flies, but memories stay forever. 

My Favorite thing about Iwata was that even though he was in so much of a bad situation, he always showed love for all of us, and even hurt himself to make us happy. True definition of a Hero to me.
