I was told I had Glaucoma in 2000. I had cataracts removed in 2003. They did implants so I would not have to wear Coke Bottles. I was put 0n 1 eye drop after another. My pressures were trageted to be 12 both eyes. Then in 2020, they did laser to reduce my eye pressures as they were now 14 and the doctor told me no need for eyedrops now. But he still gave me 9 months of eyedrops. He scheduled me for my next appointment in 6 months. I had the pressures checked a 6 months later. they were now 15, so the laser did nothing. I now had a big problem, as no matter what we did my eye pressures stayed above 15. I was losing the battle. Since then I have lost most of the vision in my good right eye. my left eye has blind area above the center. Now my vision is getting fuzzy and I have double vision. Not sure how much longer I will last. I gave up driving in 2020. I can get around the house as I have memorized it well. Then next problem is coming soon. I do not look forward to the coming months and years. I was told 3 years ago that they were very, very close for a cure due to very good progress in several areas for Glaucoma repairs. And for me not to worry. Well, that was 3 years ago now and I see no further progress. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. Good Luck to all of you with similar problems. I have been dealing with high press for 6yr . it was 17 (they made me think that the sky was falling)! I was put on several diff drops over the yrs. and the press held about 13 but all of a sudden it bounced to 30. I have been waiting for 2 mo to see a glaucoma specialist but I know she won't be able to do anything. my Dr. is very good compared to the few that I have seen over the past yrs. I had a Canaloplasty done for $ 3K that lasted for 6 mo. My optic nerve has not changed nor has glaucoma and my press is now at 35. These Drs. don't know squat. they just take your money. they give you a test or a procedure that doesn't work but you still have to pay. One Dr. burned my eye with a laser and I lost 25% of my sight and left me with a depth perception problem, I basically can't do any kind of work, shoot a rifle, bow, weld, and I got into a deep depression. Diabetes is the worst thing that will affect your eyes. Do your research before you do any kind of procedure. adios amigos and good luck.

Mam i am 21, both of my Eye pressure are 19, and doctor said there could be chances of Glaucoma , so i had to do checkups every 6 months . Should i worry ? Also is there any excercise or good habits that i could follow to keep everything at safer side ?

Ma case: I'm 48. Last year had 3 month bupropione for smoking cessation. Went to optometrist because my eyes where funny dry irritated after this meds and like " popping out, tense" . My eye pressure was L 18R 19. Stopped bupropione done full glaucoma test . All fine. Optic nerve ideal angles fine. This year I went on bupropione again. 1 month and same situation. Dry itchy tense eyes. Checked with optometrist: L 19 R 21 ( border line) . Should I continue bupropione or it shows clearly it mess up my eyes 👀 and take me towards glaucoma?( optic nerve is fine all fine again) Question: Can ocular pressure change temporarily during medication and come back to normal after? And how big can be daily fluctuations? 5- 6 Mhg? Or more. Perhaps my Pressure is higher and they catched it only in low digits? ( I guess it will require 24h monitoring?)

My eye pressure is within the normal range and Im still diagnosed with glaucoma. This is so unfair 😭

I lowered my eye pressure with diet and exercise before. My antipsychotic made me gain a lot of weight and now I'm diabetic. I'm on drops now hoping to get off drops when I stop taking my antipsychotic because I know I will lose weight.

I had a high eye pressure in my right eye 2 months ago and the left one is normal.. the right one is 27 and left is 21 .. the doctor just gave me eye drops and asked me to come after 1 week.. after 1 week it became normal.. I still have pain in my eyes now .. and when he checked the dryness test the left one is so dry while the right one so wet predicting so much ... is it possy that I have glaucoma especially i had a history of high eye pressure????

Everything is correct. But not all... I’ll add how I treated high pressure in the eye after surgery, when you can’t rub the eye, and this is necessary to squeeze out excess moisture from the eyes. After the operation, the spongy exits are clogged with fibrosis of the blood and the outflow of excess fluid from the eye is necessary.. First!!! In order for the blood to be “liquid”, proper nutrition is necessary!!!, without excess sweets, flour, potatoes, etc.
Good outflow is helped by proper MASSAGE of the eyes and neighboring areas and neck. But it also helps a lot to close your eyes one by one!!! eyes to squeeze excess fluid from the eyes into the lymph through the trabecular meshwork into Schlemm's canal.
Massage of the lymphatic vessels that drain fluid around the eyes and ears, as well as throughout the head, helps to prevent and treat GLAUCOMA!!!
A daily contrast shower or at least applying a hot wet or cold cloth to the eyes to train the elasticity of the blood vessels around the eyes and the entire head helps. All this warns of GLAUCOMA, which is almost impossible to cure otherwise. Only if you put leeches to thin the blood. Regular cupping and cupping (hijama) to improve blood rheology also help.
