Making a Buttonhole Stitch by hand

The buttonhole stitch has been used for reinforcing buttonholes for centuries. It looks similar to the blanket stitch and sometimes in books they are used interchangeably. However, the "real" buttonhole stitch is embroidered with a small knot which the blanket stitch doesn't have.
In other languages, the buttonhole stitch is also called: DE Knopflochstich – FR point de boutonnière, point de festón – IT punto occhiello – ES punto festón – SE knapphålstygn

One thing I discover after watching this vid Mike joke times in case any one is watching is that the left side of the yhread (the ones that’s gonna wrap around the needle from the right) goes under the needle before you start the wrapping
