Mark this day, well actually it was December 5th at 1:03am, but still remember where you were when you heard the news. It is a truly historic day for our species. So excited for the future!

The fact that he described event as “nuclear weapons…” that’s the kind of language that is causing hesitancy throughout the public to adopt nuclear energy… this tech is more than needed and is safer than most types of energy production!

This is monumental. Up until now it didn't make much sense to me for everyone to convert to EVs because our grid would not be able to support that. In time, when they discover how to harness this discovery properly, EVs would truly be green

Great news, after decades of failure they needed a positive breakthrough to keep funding going.

Who else had to tap rewind to see it again because they read his chrome message for Pinocchio?

Mimic explosions of nuclear weapons? Did Shell put that speaker in charge?

The comments on a need for further improvement in the end let me wonder if the currently achieved level could already be scaled into marketability.

I already have a Fusion razor and it was indeed a breakthrough for me. Look forward to this.

They confirmed that we have nuclear fusion. And they did it consistently what my calculations was said that. After we set up the facility, we would be able to achieve fusion and confirm that it exists in less than five years and it was precisely sometime

They were able to calculate what's such high position? It even exceeded their expectation

I wonder how much closer this moves us to a type 1 civilization on the Kardashev scale…?

This is very cool but the fusion tech at LL is theoretically less efficient than some other ongoing projects. They need a lot of resource and energy input to make energy so its not super clear if this is going to be a winning technology. Some other groups have better strategies.

Lèe Bernstein
A few remarks.
1. Not the first. The UK jwt lab did it in February where fusion positive balance produced 59 mega joules
2. Lawrence livermore laser fusion in November produced 1.3 mega joules.
This is the amount of energy produced by 30 grams crude oil.
3. We are still 50 years away from commercial fusion energy.
4. We are still thinking wrongly on producing energy. We should not be looking to turn a steam turbine by heating water.
We need to be thinking about inducing a flow of electrons like solar plasma to directly generate electricity.

Bernstein... Am I the only one fixated on this potential easter egg?

we need allies money and bubbles and higher frequency radiation tools.

Decades of effort to get back more than you invest. A long way from output capable of powering an i-phone. See you in another 75 years.♥

i wouldn't say "the sky is the limit". i'd say the Milky way is the limit, now. the aliens are here. they know what we know, and more.

What is fusion reactor the sky is not the limit. You don't have any, so you better be castle

how does it not release radiation but it releases energy? is it just thermal energy?

Stop lying! Everyone knows this technology was first developed at YoyoDyne Propulsion Systems, only to be perfected by Buckaroo Banzai with the oscillation overthruster!
