The cold fusion breakthrough was achieved more than 30 years ago but it was demonized and suppressed by the media and their sinister advisers because it was not done by the big boys. All it is really palladium in heavy water when powered by DC voltage goes into an atomic reaction (without generating harmful radiation) and generates far greater heat than the amount of power (watts) that needs to run. Hence the name "ColdFusion" doesn't generate harmful radiation, instead generates an access reaction of heat. But bear in mind that the atomic reaction continues even when the operating voltage is turned off. So, you have to have safety valves in place to release the pressure to the next chamber, should the pressure rises over the safety limits.

A similar over-unity heat reaction can also be generated using Plasma and Hydrogen in absence of oxygen in a sealed stainless steel cell. Again here the Hydrogen goes into an atomic reaction without being consumed, all you have to do is to extract the heat from the cell and allow it to operate in a balanced manner, or else it will self-distract with 8K Kelvin. This is similar to noble gas that ignites in sealed tubes without getting consumed.

Haha... fusion is "always" 30 yrs off. I would agree IF the current supportive technology remains static, yet it is constantly evolving, such as confinement technology.

Having US Energy Secretary Granholm announce this news worldwide will stimulate funding of both public and private sectors (a new Gates, Bezos, Musk, Arnault steps in) and increase international competition.

Imo, within the 2030 decade, fusion will be implemented within our US military/science fields. Then, filter itself down to US public by late 2040 decade. It's going to be... marvelous! 🐈
