I love how these scientists are taking the time to explain what they are doing. I don’t understand a lot of the science, but two times stronger than the sun, and faster than the blink of an eye is catchy. How are cool are they and lucky are we. This is what they do every day. Fckn incredible! Ty

Amazing! This and the new space race are the only things that have made me feel like I live in something closer to the future that was dreamt of more than 100 years ago in science fiction.

Our minds have taken us from drawing our hands in a cave to creating stars on earth, I will remember this day not only for the amazing scientific achievement but for what we as humans can achieve.

Converting 300MJ of Electricity into 2MJ of Lazer energy to produce 3.15MJ of Heat and calling it a "net energy gain" without explaing it like this is basically fraud, in business "net" means including your expenditure.

Big Oils will put an end to this effort. They are counting on Trump to come back and put a stop on all these clean energy projects.

It isn’t about reality but practicality that will matter most. If they can create a reactor that can run on fusion it will be a bigger breakthrough. What they describe in the video isn’t something we can use yet. It’s a first step but we’re still a long way off from a practical application of fusion energy.

This 30 year knowledge is locked in with a small group of people. Is the goal to share this so it benefits the most amount of people? Or is this just going to benefit a few privileged ones?

There is a freaking fusion reactor in the sky outputting 29.4MJ per square metre. We have all we need.

That'll do pig.
